It was the last day of class and Loki was feeling appropriately melancholy. Okay, no he wasn't but he would, at least, miss teaching students about how much the human race can suck if you let it. Still, he thought he'd be seeing a few of them again so he wasn't too broken up.

"It's time for your final exam!" Loki said exuberantly, clapping his hands and looking smug. "I hope you all prepared because I spent all night typing it up and going over it. It's twenty essay questions, closed book, straight from the memory banks."

It was not.

"So, come up and pick up an exam," he said, gesturing to the thick stacks of paper beside him, "and get started."

George was reading a book on the Costra Nostra. No reason. But it was interesting to see how other places set up their Rogues' Court. And interesting t'get ideas on how such things could be changed. Did he ever decide he wanted to change 'em.

He wasn't terribly concerned about the end of the school year - far as he knew, he wasn't going anywhere, but the fact that he'd been away from the Lower City for so long made him wonder if he should try to finagle a Portalocity portal no matter how expensive they were. Hm.

"Okay, so, for some of you guys, graduation's coming up," said Emmett. "Friends, family, people who didn't know you had a sudden epiphany about liking people shaped like you... or aliens or doing it while hanging upside down wrapped in clingfilm..."

In her seat at the head of the group, Gabrielle looked genuinely perplexed. It was a good look on her, actually, since she wore it often. "I can't believe the semester's come and gone already," she said almost wistfully. "So this is our last meeting for the school year, and in the spirit of the group -- which I'd like to think is also the spirit of Fandom in general -- we thought we should give some thought to how we can be there for people with a lot of people's families in attendance."

"A lot of us aren't graduating, some of us may be as out as you can possibly get without wearing a nametag that says Hi My Name Is Emmett And I Like--" Oh, that face, Gabs. That face! "...Richard, but some of us are, and some of us aren't, and even if you don't have any issues on that score, you probably know someone who will."

Emmett paused, then added, "The nametag thing is one possibility, by the way, but I wouldn't suggest it if you have relatives that are elderly or have heart conditions."

"Well, it's a step up from actually giving a demonstration, isn't it?" Gabrielle had figured Emmett out somewhat by now. Could you tell?

"...So I shouldn't tell you how my uncle Enos found out. Got it." Emmett mimed zipping his lips.

Yes, that would be Gabrielle facepalming. "Oh, I can guess. And I really wish I couldn't."

"Well, I'm not advising that coming-out method for everybody," Emmett said. "It wasn't exactly planned, as such. "

"And it might not be planned for some of us." . . . why she was including herself in that, Gabrielle had no clue. NO CLUE. "So a group with the word 'support' in its name should be prepared to offer that. Think of it as our chance to shine."

She was cheesy. But cute, okay?

"Good afternoon, kids," Rick greeted the class, a broad grin on his face. "It's time for your finals, and I hope you've come up with something impressive for me and the rest of class."

He gestured to the front of the class where both a white-board and a large computer display were situation. "How things work is that you are going to present your plan for the perfect crime to the rest of the class," he explained. "Then, after you've done that, the other members of the class will ask you questions in an attempt to poke holes in your plan, to which you will then respond. This will be done in a polite and respectful manner, and participation in your classmates Q-and-A time will have an impact on your final mark."

He pointed at a random student. "You first."
