Would it be redundant to say that Gabrielle looked thoughtful as she perched at the desk with a scroll spread out in front of her? Most likely, but the thoughtfulness was mixed with whimsical amusement at the colorful snow outside.

And also with the notion that she really ought to look into a winter cloak of some kind.

Yes, she'd only just thought of this. Arguably it was a miracle it had occurred to her at all.

Fred had an evil smirk on his face today. The setting was the Danger Shop, and currently the room was barren except a large curtain across one wall that Fred stood in front of.

"Today, you get to choose your own final. It's a fight, one that's been programmed. You get to pick, but not in the way you're thinking.

He hit a button on a remote, and the curtain pulled back to reveal a series of doors.

"Pick a door, any door," he said. "And behind it you'll have your final scenario. Beat up the opposition, and you get an A. Don't do as well, well... we'll see. Oh, and before anyone complains that different tests for different people ain't fair... shove it. Life ain't fair. So... who's first? Pick your poison."

The one thing Fred didn't know was that his internet research was going to lead to some strange glitches in his programming.

This week Max was not distracted. And he was going to pretend that last week had never happened. For many, many, many reasons.

The far-too-familiar pile of gear was waiting as everyone arrived, but before anyone could grab anything, Max began speaking. "Today we're doing things a bit different. This being your final examination, you're going to execute a mission as a team. And, as with many missions of this sort, I'm going to be providing you with the parameters before you decide what to take." This also meant they'd be skipping the run today, but that was okay. Max was sure they'd get a workout without it.

Max made a small gesture and a patch of ground writhed and reshaped itself into a model of the surrounding terrain. The main features were a tall, rocky set of cliffs with an equally rocky beach below them. "We are here," he indicated a spot that was some distance from the top of the cliff. "Scouts indicate that the enemy is going to attempt to land troops here," he indicated a spot on the beach. "Your objective is to keep them from doing so by whatever means necessary. Or, failing that, to keep those troops from making it off the beach. If you can at least keep them bottled up for a few hours, reinforcements are on their way to secure this area."

"Since you are all such good students I'm sure you don't have any questions about this assignment. Which is good because for the purposes of this exercise I am not here." He stepped off to the side and waved at the pile of gear.

"All right, kids," Drake greeted the class. "It's time for your favorite part of a class, finals, the part where we make or break your grade." Who was he kidding, he was a softie, he'd pass everyone. "You've got three choices for essay questions and one hour to write it. Pick one, and on your mark, get set...go!"

He snapped his fingers, conjuring a blackboard with three questions written upon it:

A. What is so damn sexy about vampires? Feel free to use examples of people you know in Fandom or back home.

B. Pick two of the following characters and make them fight. Who would win? Robin Hood, King Arthur (not the one running around here, or he may sue you for libel), d'Artagnan, Achilles.

C. Quick! Invaders from Mars are on their way to destroy your town! What three books do you grab to take with you as you escape?

It had taken Remus and Sirius slightly less time this go around to program the Danger Room to do what they wanted (Sirius contended it was because it had threatened the computer with a good hexing, but that was debatable), but for a final examination, the professors felt that a bit of effort should be expended.

"Welcome to your exam," Sirius said with a slightly fiendish smile, extending his hand to encompass the scene before them: a large grassy area (complete with a different castle in the background. They missed Hogwarts a bit, so hush) covered in a variety of obstacles. "Hopefully you remember what you have learned. You will encounter a series of practical exercises in order for us to determine how prepared you are to face the Dark Arts in every day life. Good luck. If you get too hexed to continue, Professor Lupin and I will step in, but I don't think that will be entirely necessary."

Nick had expanded their little 'studio' for the day. It still had the working area, but it also had a small gallery that held nothing at the moment. There were pedestals for sculpture, nails and cords for hanging, cubbies for just about any kind of art you could make. All entirely moddable.

"Today, you have half the class to finish your pieces and the other half, we'll be presenting and reviewing. Considering how packed things are, I'll let you all get to it."

"Welcome to your Ethics final," Anakin said, pacing around the classroom. "I will provide you with a series of scenarios. You tell me which option you would pick, and why. Since this is Ethics, there are no black and white correct answers to anything. What matters to me is that you have some sort of reason for your choice. If your logic is faulty or snide or clearly half-assed, that's when I will become...unhappy."
