Ethics [Thursday, December 17, 1st period]
"Welcome to your Ethics final," Anakin said, pacing around the classroom. "I will provide you with a series of scenarios. You tell me which option you would pick, and why. Since this is Ethics, there are no black and white correct answers to anything. What matters to me is that you have some sort of reason for your choice. If your logic is faulty or snide or clearly half-assed, that's when I will become...unhappy."

Scenario #1 [12/17]
a) Mourn and move on.
b) Brood about it constantly. Perhaps write poetry.
c) Ignore the idea that she might be dead and go after her yourself. Upon finding her remains, torch the village she was in.
d) None of the above.
Re: Scenario #1 [12/17]
"D. She never really did much for me, any way. I've been better off without her since I left Gotham. So really, this ain't a tough question, ya know?"
Re: Scenario #1 [12/17]
Re: Scenario #1 [12/17]
She certainly wouldn't intend to torch the village, but there was always that chance, too.
Re: Scenario #1 [12/17]
In the end, though, dead was dead, and it wasn't her job to mess with it.
"I -- it would be hard but you have to go with a," Tara said. "Dead is dead. You can't undo it and poetry won't help."
Re: Scenario #1 [12/17]
Re: Scenario #1 [12/17]
It was all she'd say on the subject in front of everyone, although she didn't have a problem with the broad implication that she really had little love to spare for her mother. She felt she had pretty good reason.
Re: Scenario #1 [12/17]
"C," she said firmly. "You can't know if she's dead or not until you go looking. As for what you do once she's dead, that depends on whether the village was responsible. Easier just to deal with the person who did it directly."
Re: Scenario #1 [12/17]
"I'd go after her, yeah, if it's not 100% certain that she's dead," Bobby said. "It's the 'torch the village she was in' part that I wouldn't do."
Re: Scenario #1 [12/17]
Which was a total lie.
Re: Scenario #1 [12/17]
Using the services of Marjong the Executioner leapt to mind as a likely possibility.
Re: Scenario #1 [12/17]
Re: Scenario #1 [12/17]
Scenario #2 [12/17]
a) Make the most of the time you have left.
b) Look frantically for a cure. If this means doing unsavory things for slightly creepy people, so be it.
c) Like I'd ever get married. Here's how I see it going...
d) None of the above
Re: Scenario #2 [12/17]
"B. I mean, unsavory means sweet, right? Which means they'd be really nice things for people who probably don't have nice things happen to them, because people think they're creepy. They probably need a little sweetness, and maybe they'd even stop being creepy! It'd be a win for everyone. I wouldn't die, and people would get nice things done and they'd no longer be creepy!"
It wasn't so much that her logic was faulty, just her thinking in general.

Scenario #3 [12/17]
a) Call it a day. We'll capture another rebel some time. Maybe they'll tell us.
b) Drag her out onto the command deck and threaten to blow up her planet.
c) Drag her out onto the command deck and actually blow up her planet.
d) None of the above.
Re: Scenario #3 [12/17]
"D. I mean, there's other ways of getting cooperation than threats, right? Maybe you can bribe her or tickle her into giving up the info. It might be fun! Plus blowing up planets seems kinda wrong and who'd want to do that?"
She grinned, like the cat that caught the canary.

Scenario #4 [12/17]
a) Let him follow his own path. He is, after all, his own person.
b) Whack off his arm and let him fall down a giant hole.
c) Offer the option to his sister instead.
d) None of the above.
Re: Scenario #4 [12/17]
"C, d'uh. I mean, you can't make your kids do things. That makes you a bad parent. But you can ask and stuff, and if they both say know, well... there's always adoption?" She giggled.

...don't count on it.
Re: Talk to Anakin [12/17]
"I don't think I passed," she said.
She wasn't apologizing, or defiant, either. This was who she was. She accepted that.
That didn't mean her Ethics professor was necessarily going to be pleased, was all.
