screwyoumarvel: (Steve - laughing)

Steve was in a fantastic mood today. It might have had something to do with the pony standing in the middle of the classroom, looking peeved. Yes, Steve had handwavily 'borrowed' Tony from Tyler. "Today we're going to be doing some life drawing in charcoal," Steve said. "Your subject won't be a person, it'll be a pony. This is Tony. You may know him as 'Mr. Stark,' but that's a little formal for a pony. Which he is, for the moment. Say hello, Tony."

The pony looked like it was thinking of biting him.

"If you'd like to pet the pony, you are welcome to try, but he's a bit temperamental and the school will not be held responsible for any pony-inflicted injuries." They could always try suing Tony once he was human again. "Get to it."

If there was one thing Barney could do for the strange mix of teens filing into his classroom, it was provide them with porn.

And so there was a very large bin of tapes resting on the top of the podium.

"Porn! It's one of the greatest gifts Jesus left to man when he created the VCR." Barney paused to sigh and pick up Space Orgy, an old favorite. "It's to men what romance novels are to women. So, instead of a dozen pages of drivel followed by a sex scene and a lead up to a fake plot point where there's more sex, etc, you get simple situational plots leading to a whole lotta sexing. It's better, trust me." Barney should know, these were the tapes he'd replaced with DVDs recently. Please, as if he'd be giving up his porn any other way.

"Your task today - Come up with a fantastic porn title and WRITE THE PLOT OF YOUR VERY OWN PORN! Mix and match your cliches and kinks, get those brains working! You're here to win friends, right? Nothing says friendship like sharing. Go ahead and take a gander through this box. No judgment from here if you slip a box under your shirt for later. These are all free to a good home."

Under normal circumstances, Sam would have been ecstatic about fulfilling his presidential duties and leading a student council meeting, but today, he just looked tired and ready to crawl back into his brooding place bed.

"Hey guys," he said, once everyone was sitting down with some pizza. "So, Jean talked to Ms. Tatou about having a Thanksgiving dinner for the people who are sticking around in town, and she agreed to help. She and the cooking class will probably be doing the heavy duty stuff, and some of the cheerleaders were interested in helping too, so I think the best thing we can do right now is come up with possible menu options for large groups, so we have things to suggest. And if there's anything else you guys think we need to talk about, we can do that too."

There was an apologetic Hoshi waiting for everyone to arrive before starting the meeting. "Our Friday the 13th edition of the paper had an unfortunate mishap at the printers, so we don't have a paper this week," she said. "I'm going to take that as a sign that next week's newspaper has to be twice as awesome to make up for it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we should cover this week?"

Farmville.

Bobby had gone and gotten Jonothon addicted to Farmville.

And it wasn't even as though Jono even knew how to use a computer, but at least he'd figured out enough to know how to turn the bloody thing on and make a beeline for Facebook.

//What do yer mean, all th'bits got lost on th'way to my computer? How the naffin' hell do yer refresh?//

Unfortunately, that was about all he knew. It was going to be an interesting shift in the library, with a somewhat amused Jean-who-was-a-bird perched on his shoulder.

"This week, we were going to concern ourselves with the sport of hockey," Arthur started, "But as I began to work on the exercises we were going to tackle, I realised that some of you might not know what it is." Neither did you before this week, Arthur, but nevermind that. "So today, we shall be watching some first. I'm told this," and he shook the DVD labeled Knockout Hockey: Fights and Brawls in demonstration, "Contains a reasonable depiction of the sport."

He cleared his throat. "There is pizza and drinks," he said, "I hear it is customary to have both of them while watching, so help yourself. Any questions? No? Good."

Arthur liked things when he was in charge. He did.

Today the equations littering the board behind Mohinder were interspersed with skewed ellipses centred on and orbiting circles.

"The first attempts at modelling the mechanics of the larger scale world around us - planets, stars, galaxies - considered us to be the centre of everything - the thought in the mind of god," Mohinder said, sketching out an approximate model. "Our place in the universe has gotten ever smaller; this planet one of several orbiting a non-descript star, first in circles, then ellipses..." Mohinder continued to described the search for an ever more accurate understanding of the mechanics of the stars.

Finishing, he picked up a mesh of metal and gears. "This is only a simple approximation of this solar system." Complete with an tomato wobbling it's way around a slow orbit. "Not that your models have to be limited to this local star."
