"It is far too early," Edna grumbled as she stomped up to the students assembled in the Danger Shop with a cup of coffee almost as tall as she was. "People in the fashion industry seldom trouble with the bothersome morning hours."

She glanced around at the faces assembled before her. "I am Edna Mode, and you fortunate few have been graced with my presence for the precious time between fashions seasons," she announced. "Because you signed up for this class, you either have grand plans of becoming superheroes or have difficulty reading and understanding long words." Her gaze rested on a few students that she thought that might apply to. "Either way, it is far to much work to get out of taking my course. People pay me thousands of dollars to notice them! Why wouldn't you want to be here?"

She didn't stop to let anyone answer that.

"Today you will tell me your name--" she meant a superhero name, "and your boring alterego name if you have one. If I do not find the names to be suitable, I will give you another one!"

She sniffed. "And after that, you will design a logo for your superhero uniform." A snap from her finger and a logo appeared in midair. She smiled. "I do enjoy this room. This is an interesting logo! It is sleek, it has interesting colors, it has an "I" for Incredible for villains who can read...excellent." She'd designed it. "This is just as interesting. THIS is a crime against people with eyes," she snapped. "It's gaudy and pink and incomprehensible! Bah! Do not do such things!"

She clapped her hands together and tables full of fabric, piping, and very sharp scissors appeared. "I will be walking around and offering critique on your choices!" She clapped her hands together again. "Begin!"

James Kirk was a man with a plan. James Kirk was... teaching a group of high schoolers while nursing a bit of a hang over. But Rachel was giving him a challenge here.

God help him.

"Welcome to Tactics, I'll be your teacher. You may call me Captain---yes, that includes you, Bones--Kirk. We'll be studying battles and applying them to times when you're dangling off the edge of something real life scenarios in the class, so I hope you all are willing to try to read a book from time to time in order to keep up."

Try not to look so surprised.

"Since it seems to be all about introductions if the radio is correct, I might as well take a page from your fellow teachers' playbook and do the same. But I want you to tell me why you're hear and why anyone would follow you into a fight."

There was a pause as he seemed to remember something far too amusing for it to be nice.

"Also, everyone say hello to the teaching assistant, Leonard McCoy. He'll be glad to help you if you have any questions. A real people person, right Bones?"

As the students trickled into the Danger Shop, they would find Ziva standing and waiting for them at the front of the room, cradling a cup of coffee in her hands. Sure, it was late in the day, but caffeine addiction ran deep.

"Good afternoon," she said. "My name is Ziva David, and for the next few weeks, I will be instructing you in driver education. I have been told that it is customary to tell you a little about myself, although I was not advised as to what you might be interested in hearing. I will tell you that Israel is my home, but for the last few years, I have been living in the United States while working for NCIS. Those of you who are or have been enrolled in Criminal Justice have met my previous boss, Special Agent Gibbs." She still hadn't quite gotten over that. "If you have not, all you need to know is that if you decide to pass notes while you should be paying attention, I will catch you."

"I do not intend for us to spend our time here memorizing traffic laws or reading from books," she continued. "I am a firm believer that the best way to learn how to drive is to actually do it, and that it is more important to know how to handle your vehicle in any given situation than it is to know all of the different rules of the road. We will be meeting here each week for your lessons, as I have been told that this is the place for safe simulations. This week, before we do anything else, I need to know where you are all starting from." Plus, she still needed to work out the finer details of Danger Shop programming. "I would like to go around and learn everyone's name, year of school, and how much experience you have behind the wheel. Oh, and if you have a dream car? Tell me about it."

A fresh new semester, a fresh new batch of cadets students victims students for him to teach...

Rimmer's holographic heart almost swelled out of his holographic chest as he waited in the Danger Shop for his class to arrive. Their syllabuse--syllaba--the many copies of their syllabus that he'd made were laid out on the desks, carefully checked to make sure that there would be no mentions of fish or him being one for at least an entire class.

As soon as his students arrived, he turned on the little display at the back to simulate being on the 'Dwarf.

"Good day, children," he began, nostrils flaring with glee, "and welcome to Surviving Deep Space."

...first person to mention that it was being taught by a dead guy would probably be screamed at.

Claudia no longer had that insane fashion class with the insane short lady, so she was in the library bright and early.

Today she was sitting behind the counter spinning in circles on her chair.

Mmmm. Productive.

She'd be there until her driver's education class!

[OOC: The OCD fled in terror at the idea of Claudia driving.]

Fred Dukes wasn't the type for doing things tentatively. He had the gym set up exactly how he wanted: An obstacle course.

Tires. A balance beam to run across. A set of low hurdles. Ropes to crawl under. A climbing wall followed by a crash mat.

This was the first day. Any student not intimidated by Fred's sheer size might possibly be given pause by the set-up.

"I'm Fred J. Dukes," he introduced, cracking his knuckles. "And don't think I don't know what you're thinking." He pretty much assumed they were all thinking 'holy crap, who ate my fitness teacher?' or something more derogatory. "Just don't say it. You say it, you'll regret it. Whether that means detention or otherwise, well. Depends on what you say."

"Now I'm sure all the other classes all wanted you to introduce yourselves and let everyone get to know each other. Not here. You run the course. You fall down, you start back from the beginning. You finish the course, you get to run laps, do push-ups, or run the course again til the time is up. You feel like you gotta stop, you get thirty seconds to take a breather. You take longer, better be ready for me to throw a dodgeball at you. You actually get hurt, then you can stop."

He laughed. "Welcome to Physical Fitness Made Easy. The truth is... it's freakin' hard. Welcome to it, you little punks."

He wasn't planning on being evil every week. He just wanted to see if anyone would have the guts to stand up to him. Or if they'd just go along with it. It was actually a bit of a psychological test.

He then pointed at Hannibal. "You. Wade Junior. You're the TA. You get to be nice to people, so I don't have to be."

He grunted. "Now get going. You ain't dressed properly for this, well, you'll know better for next time."

[ooc: OCD first, please Open, yay.]
