For some reason, getting out of bed and heading to his way too fucking early class had been a lot easier for Loki today. In fact, everything felt a little easier and he even looked more relaxed while waiting on the students to file in. Once they had, he didn't even move from his sprawled position to start the lecture.

and we have a lecture... )

Once the lecture was completed, Loki gestured for them to get started and kept an eye on the class.

The room was set up as it had been the first day, with the tables and chairs like any other classroom. The singular difference, of course, was who was slouched rakishly against the teacher's desk.

His hair was a Pantene commercial waiting to happen.1

His golden flight uniform shimmered and shone like the light from the sun itself.2

His teeth held a whiteness that defined 'white', as day was day and night was night.3

A paragon of virtue, virility, and all the best the Space Corps had to offer stood before them, nostrils flared with pure animal magnetism. If sexual magnetism were a virus4, then baby, this was patient zero.

"The name's Ace," he said, his voice pure awesomeness translated into tone and frequency, "and as your... instructor seems to still be feeling the effects of his little rendezvous with holo-virus, I'll be covering the class today."

If you melted at the smile, well, you're in good company.

[ocd up!]

1 If was originally an Herbal Essences commercial, but due to the effect the sight of him naked in a shower had on the female extras (and crew), the footage had to be sold to a tasteful adult productions studio.
2At least seven primitive cultures on four different planets have mistaken Ace for the god of the sun during his travels. In these cultures, there was a documented 90% increase in female virgins willing to become a sacrifice to said god and a 95% increase in males willing to admit they were virgins to allow them to participate.
3Whiter than Chuck Norris's teeth. No. Really.
4It actually is.

Sam had noticed the flowers on his way to and from the Perk this morning, but he hadn't given them much thought aside from hoping that Scout wouldn't try to eat any of them the next time they went on a walk. By the time he got to the library, he was in a really good mood, but since it was nice out and he was going to get to spend his day surrounded by books, that wasn't terribly surprising.

"Today's theme, is folks songs." Tim said when the students had arrived. "Which means that participation today is more voluntary than usual. "Folks songs are, basically, old songs that tell a story. What's weird to think is, all of these songs were popular songs when they were written. Makes you wonder if today's chart toppers will be sung around a campfire in a few hundred years doesn't it."

He cleared his throat and tried not to be embarrassed. "My apologies if you don't like my singing. If so, keep it to yourself please." And with that, he sang:

Cut for Song )

"According to the story I heard, that song was written by Tom Dooley while he waited for his execution. The story goes that Tom Dooley had a wife, but fell in love with another woman. Together, he and his mistress conspired to kill his wife and run off together. As it turns out, he was right, he did hang. And the mistress it seems, went free.

"Okay, now it's your turn, if you want. You can sing a song, or just recite the lyrics. Then tell the background info if you know it. Or you can just tell the story that a song you know tells. Or if you want you can just sit there and look horrified. Oh, and next week's theme is Ghost stories."

[Up super early for I must hit the road. Massive SP as I'll be afk for a day or so. Wait for OCD is up please Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is awesome.]

Today's class was actually in a classroom, Bond stood next to large whiteboard as he waited for the class to arrive, looking slightly more chipper than usual.

"Good afternoon class," Bond began. "Today we were going to discuss first dates, but then I remembered just how a really good first date can end, and I decided it might be worthwhile to skip ahead slightly to make sure that if you do have such a date, that it has a happy ending. For both of you."

Cut for sex talk. )

Edna was practically buried under a pile of costumes, only her sensible yet fabulous shoes showing, as she entered the Danger Shop. "Today we try on what you have designed! I finished them up for you--no need to thank me, not that you would, ungrateful teenagers that you are--and I have also brought in a rack of weapons that don't work so don't try to kill each other with them please. Put on your outfits, prance around, do a little turn on the catwalk--" yes, there was a small runway, "and ask each other for advice. Because yes, some of these outfits will make your butts look big. Best to know now before we make the final project with the good fabric."

Spandex and hormones. What a fantastic combination!
