Fashion! Etc., Etc., Etc. [Thursday, June FOURTH, FOR REAL, 1st period]

Edna was practically buried under a pile of costumes, only her sensible yet fabulous shoes showing, as she entered the Danger Shop. "Today we try on what you have designed! I finished them up for you--no need to thank me, not that you would, ungrateful teenagers that you are--and I have also brought in a rack of weapons that don't work so don't try to kill each other with them please. Put on your outfits, prance around, do a little turn on the catwalk--" yes, there was a small runway, "and ask each other for advice. Because yes, some of these outfits will make your butts look big. Best to know now before we make the final project with the good fabric."

Spandex and hormones. What a fantastic combination!

Despite the fact that the whole point of Jo's design had been to cover as much skin as look as normal as possible, she saw nothing at all wrong with leaving her top half-undone to show off her cleavage.

Dinah's costume was just too warm. So she ditched the cute jacket to just wear the spandex outfit (http://pics.livejournal.com/blondecanary/pic/0000kkhz), and wished she'd gone for the one without leggings. Waxing be damned.

Arthur was trying not to think about the morning partly because it hadn't been played out yet. He was also trying to fit into his skin-tight spandex, and while he managed that part, the armor was still very much a hypothetical.

Nice reds and yellows, Arthur.

He hated everyone.

Shilo looked over at Arthur, grinned, and then let out a wolf whistle.

And then tried to look as innocent as possible.

It wasn't working.

Dinah was not looking. Dinah was not looking. Because her brain didn't need to start wondering about hypothetical ways to cause theoretical future children, and Gawain could stay entirely imaginary from now on, thanks very much. Most days she liked Arthur, but it was better for the universe if it was not like that.

When she realized she was humming "Damn, Wish I Was Your Lover" she put her head down on the desk for a good ten minutes until she could hum "Re: Your Brains" in order to think again.

Momoko had settled on the one-piece body suit after all and it felt really good to wear. She was happy with the look! Enough to even add a few poses to her turn on the catwalk.

Fiona had dried off and changed, so she was at least not damp. Soaking in rage, perhaps, but not damp.

She put on her costume with a minimum fuss, doing her very best to make sure she didn't slice it open with an errant fingernail.

Shilo pulled on her costume, and was thinking to herself that she really didn't mind this much green as much as she thought she did. And that the Spandex made her tiny-scrawny body look nice.

Emma's top and coat left little to the imagination, and neither did the tightness of her pants.

Still, she was glad she'd gone with Jenny's suggestion to add color - dark blue pants were just a better idea, and the matching jacket just made the white of her top (and skin) stand out nicely.

She was just going to focus on how nice she looked, and try to block out the very loud and annoying people. Emma didn't have much patience in the first place, but for some reason what little she did have was running very thin today.

Oh dear God, she might as well still be naked! That was NOT what Francine had envisioned. (Though it was quite arguably what she'd designed, because she sucked at art.)

And it was so....gah. Tight. In ways that given last night or the lack thereof were distressing. In not entirely unpleasant ways, but distressing.

Francine would just be walking around with her hand glued to her face. Even Tawny Madison wouldn't wear this.

"You look so cute!" Dinah twittered chirped said when saw Francine's costume. "Really cute!" Then she paused and added, "In a superheroine way, I promise."

Claudia traipsed over to her catsuit, currently wearing, well, not much. Underwear as outerwear might work on the red carpet, but Claudia was seriously pushing it in a black slip and red sandals that strapped up to mid-thigh.

From the way he normally dressed, most people likely thought that George had, at best, an average body -- far from overweight, but not something to stop traffic. It was, in fact, true that he wasn't overly muscled, or gifted with a macho form; however, he was still rather fit, and, if nothing else, he had a very nice arse.

All the better for contractual appearances.

The spandex he was wearing -- he had ended up taking Edna's suggestion of 'Ghost', back from that first class, for his 'hero' name, and his final design suited -- was black through the torso and the legs, with the arms a deep shade of gray, light enough to create contrast against the rest of the suit, but dark enough to blend into shadows. The collar was high and modeled in the Mandarin style (http://www.dancepants.com/images/Chinese_Collar_web.jpg), with a near-invisible fastening running from the bottom of the collar to mid-torso; it could be done up, normally, to hide George's pale skin and his silver Star of David, but today, in class, he'd found it a bit too warm and so left it open. On either side of the collar was a small, blood-red pip, like eyes in the darkness.

There was a belt at his waist, in a gray that matched his sleeves; from it hung an empty holster and a belt-pouch.

"Honestly," he asked, "do I look silly?"
