Edna was practically buried under a pile of costumes, only her sensible yet fabulous shoes showing, as she entered the Danger Shop. "Today we try on what you have designed! I finished them up for you--no need to thank me, not that you would, ungrateful teenagers that you are--and I have also brought in a rack of weapons that don't work so don't try to kill each other with them please. Put on your outfits, prance around, do a little turn on the catwalk--" yes, there was a small runway, "and ask each other for advice. Because yes, some of these outfits will make your butts look big. Best to know now before we make the final project with the good fabric."

Spandex and hormones. What a fantastic combination!

"You look so cute!" Dinah ~~twittered~~ ~~chirped~~ said when saw Francine's costume. "Really cute!" Then she paused and added, "In a superheroine way, I promise."

Hand still over her eyes (because that would help other people not see her, yes, just call her the Ravenous Bugblatter Francine of Traal) she hissed in a low voice, "I look naked."

"Noooo," Dinah protested. Then considered. "More kind of... um." Because the words space porn had occurred to her. "Provocative? Not nude?"

It was a bright pink! Not skin pink!

Somehow, Francine did not believe her. "Naked with paint on?" She turned and tried to walk down the runway in the most unsexiest way possible, and sadly -- oh irony -- failed at that. It was like her body, usually made of klutz and insecurity, had decided to screw with her head and act like she looked as hot as she felt. "Which beats this morning," she added when she got back. Her face would just be permanently scarlet today, yes.

"Maybe a little?" And really, it was like all the curves were *working* for Francine today. Perky and bouncy and all that stuff. "Pretty paint?"

"This morning?" Dinah asked, bouncing a bit herself. "Ooo! Oh wait, why do you look like there was squirrel flashing again?"

"Not. Squirrel." Through clenched teeth.

OH NOES. Not fair, universe! Why are you still depriving Francine! Why are you thwarting her and Merlin? Why can't someone Dinah knows get lucky??

Dinah's eyes went all anime' again, and she bit her lip. "Who!" she whispered back, arms flailing. Then considered, and hissed, "Why didn't you guys lock the door?!"

Whispers. Whispers good. "I was waiting for him. I didn't want to lock him out! Then, though sadly no smaller font size exists, a smaller whisper. "Chuck."

"Eeeeeee!" No! Not the Prince of Darkness and Slacking! "What happened!?"

"Iiiidunawannatalkaboutiiiiiit." Though it was pretty much the obvious. He stared, she flailed, he smirked, she flailed some more... Sigh. "At least it was somebody who's already seen me that way?" There had to be an up-side, right? ...Right? Sigh.

"I did not know that," Dinah said, shocked into a normal tone of voice. "When was that?"

"Weird weekend. Before you got here. Not on purpose."

Dinah very resolutely did not look in Chuck's direction ~~wherever he was.~~ "Whoa. Wait. Where was Merlin for all this? Why isn't Chuck a toad?"

That actually got her up to a normal volume for the whine. "I don't knooow. He never came home!"

"What the-- oh, maaaan." This never happened to Lt. Tawny. "That dork! I hope he's okay somewhere so you can hit him with a pillow! Sheesh," she added in her normal voice. "This call for chocolate or something or..." Lots and lots of Merlin kisses! But he wasn't here! Dinah tried to re-focus her brain and found herself looking speculatively at the guys in the class. For Francine. Yup. "Someone should give you a hug. Besides me. Although I'd be happy to hug you too." Even if they *were* both in spandex weirdness.

Pure terror. "I DON'T NEED A HUG!" That...was a little loud. And also kind of a lie, but teh way she was feeling right now, she couldn't say what she'd do if somebody actually touched her.

"OKAY!" Dinah yelled back, startled, then blinked, turning pink. "Um. Not making a pass at you, Francine, no matter what Radio said. Kissing Turtle was just a momentary brain overload thing." Unfortunately, Francine might have a point. "Maybe we should keep a minimum distance?"

"You kissed Turtle??" Yeah, focus on the important parts here, Francine. Hey, shut up. It distracted her from her near-nakedness.

"I had a moment! She has pretty eyelashes! And she said I had really great skin!" Dinah turned red, then added thoughtfully, "And she kisses well, but both of us were looking around for someone with an XY chromosome set afterwards."

"You do have great skin," Francine said honestly. But not really sexily, because sigh, yes, she really was that straight.

"Well you look awesome in that costume, you have to just get used to that," Dinah returned, smiling happily at her. Then Dinah smacked herself in the face. "See! This is how it got started! Jeez!"

Francine blinked. "No hugging!"

"No hugging!" Dinah returned in a threatening tone. "No free shows for the guys here! Yeesh. Okay. Anyway, we were talking about..." She frowned, trying to remember. "Oh. Right. Flashage."

Hand, meet face. "Can we not? Right now."

Helpless giggles at all the insanity here had Dinah sitting down on the floor, forget chairs, and just covering her face to laugh. "'Kay!" And after a minute or so, "Anything I can do to help?"
