Business 101, Monday [1-5] First Period
Monday, January 5th, 2009 05:08 am"Bonjour," Jean-Paul said to his class once they were gathered. "I see we have a small group this semester. I do not know whether that is due to the dismal economy or because of my reputation, nor do I care. I am Monsieur Beaubier, and this is Business 101. In this class you will learn how to make money. You may wonder what I could possibly know about that, considering I teach at this school for a pittance of a salary, and the answer is, I do not need the money. Astonishing as it may seem, I do this because I want to. I am rich, children, so pay attention.
"The first few weeks of this class, we will discuss theory, and then we will begin practical applications. Your syllabus should be ready for you by next week. For today, I would like for everyone to introduce themselves: name, year, why you are in this class. Then, since that should take all of two minutes, you will read this article on business in general and tell me what you think the most important aspects are. Be prepared to defend your decision."

Mad Kings & Queens, Week I [Monday, Period 4]
Monday, January 5th, 2009 08:13 amGhanima was sitting on her desk, absently eating lemon drops as she watched the students wander into the room. Once the last of them had arrived, her face lit up with a smile.
"Well now," she said, her voice carrying effortlessly. "Most of you look rather familiar!"
Ghanima was not sure if it was a mark of approval in her choice in subject matter, or if her students were simply masochists.
She was not ruling out either option.
( The Throne raises the majesty of kings above scorn and above laws. )
"Now, I am hoping you'll all indulge me," she said. "Hands up, those of you whom have already had to deal with a power-mad leader of some sort or another." The grin on her face as she took count was not exactly reassuring. It was not meant to be. "Fantastic! Rather than start you off with nothing but lecture, I'd like each of you to share your experiences with those in power, be they positive or negative. Feel free to be as general or as specific regarding the situation as you like, no one will judge you here."
[OOC:Wait for our beloved OCD has set the rules! Go forth and ping!]

[OOC:
Library; Monday [ 01/05 ].
Monday, January 5th, 2009 08:39 amOn the list of things one would expect to find when returning to work in the library, there were books. Maybe paper. The computer, to be sure.
Bananas were not exactly on that list, but, cup of sugar with coffee and cream in it in hand, bannans were exactly what Cal found on the front desk when he came to open that morning.
Well, at least it was very reassuring to know that Doctor Jones cared about their potassium intake for the new semester.

Announcements, Monday Morning
Monday, January 5th, 2009 10:38 amThe PA system sprung to life this morning, and not with the sweet tones of the principal. Oh, no...
(Stranger danger!)
"Will Emmett Cullen please report to the Vice Principal's office? Emmett Cullen."
There was a pause before he added. "Oooo! Listen to my voice. It's all ominous and deep... Emmett... I am your father! Okay, okay. Done joking around. You kids get back to whatever it is you were doing. Like passing notes. And no, he does not like-like you, okay?"
...it may be for the best he never be allowed to use the PA system again.

Child Development- 1st Period- Class #1
Monday, January 5th, 2009 10:12 pm"Hey, guys!" Lily greeted everyone. "I see a couple familiar faces here, good to see you again. For those that don't know me, I'm Ms. Aldrin, and I've been teaching here since the summer. Some of you know that my background is as a kindergarten teacher, and now I teach you all. So, I have a little experience with kids of most ages by now. Now, some of you might be here because you like kids, or want to go into teaching, or because you've had to babysit tiny versions of your teachers or something and want to know what you're doing the next time. Or you just ended up in the wrong class, in which case I'll try to make it not suck too hard.

Management Theory [Tuesday, January 6, 4th period]
Monday, January 5th, 2009 11:48 pmYzma might have had a little fun working with the Danger Room.
To get to class, the students had to pull a lever, which dropped them through a hole in the floor into a roller coaster car, where they were attired in white lab coats, black goggles and gloves, and awesome blue skull caps with a little blue tassel on the top of them.
Yzma was waiting for them, similarly attired.
"Hello, my minions!" shecackled cried, waving them towards rickety little desks. "Welcome to management theory! Before coming here I ran a country for many, many years," even if she hadn't technically been emperor, but details, "and so I will have much to teach you."
She spun on one incredibly pointy heel. "If I find you worthy, of course." She pointed a gloved finger at a student. "You! Name, favorite appetizer, and largest number of people you have bossed around!"
She'd also be on theprowl lookout for the dimmest boy she could find to be her assistant.
Not that she missed Kronk. At all. Or his stupid spinach puffs.
