Survival Skills [Wednesday, Period Four]

As the students arrived at the Danger Shop, they would have found Bond staring at a veritable jungle of tinsel with a deeply nonplussed expression.

"There are machetes," he began, not taking his eyes off the mass of tinsel in case it suddenly came to life. "Once you've cleared away enough of a space to work in, you can settle in and revise over your notes in preparation for your final. You can work by yourselves, with a partner, or in small groups."

That last part referred to both tasks, but Bond was far too focused on the tinsel to spell that out.

"Lastly." She smiled at her students, taking a seat at the edge of her desk. "You are all aware, I imagine, that next week is our last class together. I confess, I've no real notion how to test you, or what sort of final I should be writing. Any insights or advice you have would be greatly appreciated."

Cooking Club [Home Ec Classroom, Thursday, 1pm]

Ned didn't want to make a club meeting too intensive when it was getting towards the end of the semester. Finals were just around the corner and no one needed the extra stress of trying to cook something difficult. So, Ned went easy.

"Hey guys," he said, giving them a little wave. "Today, we're going to have an easy class since there's finals and stuff. Since winter's coming, I thought we could make soup. Some of us are bound to get a cold or two or fifty and soup will be the one thing that we cling to with all our might. I know, I know, this isn't hard but soup's the cornerstone of any person's pantry. It can be eaten as a snack or as a breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's a very versatile meal. And there are so many varieties that you really can't eat the same thing twice. So, be careful with the hot liquids, find your favorite moddable soup and make yourself your favorite soup."

He nodded towards the table full of soups and headed over to make a bowl of his own soup.

Sam left for the library very early to make up for missing his shift last week, but he made the mistake of going to get coffee in town, and after dealing with the surprise crowd and nearly getting run over three separate times, he was only a little early in the end. Still, he figured it was better than not being there at all.

Murdock had handwavily informed his students to meet in the Danger Shop for today's class.

He was grinning and slightly bouncy. "Hey y'all! I know you're probably tired of listening to me yammer on and since the semester's almost over, I figured something a little more," fun, "interactive might be nice."

"Here I've got a model of every plane we've discussed in class," he waved an arm at the field full of various aircraft. "Feel free to check them out, play with the controls and that kind of thing. No, there won't be any actual flyin'," he added.

"Just have a bit of fun and start thinking about next week. 'Cause there will be an exam of sorts."

Kappa Kappa Gremlin Mtg: Danger Shop, Thursday Afternoon

The Danger Shop was ready and waiting for the young, strapping men of Kappa Kappa Gremlin to get their Shirtless Calendar action on.

Meaning John had gotten access to the room and brought a 2-liter and some cheese puffs along for the ride.

See? Legendary set up. He only hoped the fake snow wasn't actually cold.

"Okay," Rikku said, setting down the slightly battered box of donuts. "I seem to be alive. Holy crap, who were all those people at J,GOB's?! I think I have bruises. Anyway! Newspaper minions! Next week is our last paper, so ... do we want to do anything neat? I'm open to suggestions, here. Hit me!"
