Once again, class met in the Danger Shop. Mike waited for everyone to arrive before launching into an explanation of the simulation. "This week marks the 36th anniversary of Apollo 17, the last manned mission to the moon," he began. "Now, I'm sure that you kids from the future or alternate universes probably travel to the moon every day, but in this time period, it's pretty rare. As of 2008, only 12 humans have walked on the surface of the moon and the last of those was Eugene Cernan, commander of Apollo 17. It is a feat that no one has accomplished since."

Mike passed around the usual handouts before proceeding. "Today, we're going to walk in the steps of the Apollo astronauts. We'll visit a simulation of the Taurus-Littrow Valley and explore the Lunar Module. Oh, and there's also a Lunar rover available if anyone wants to take it for a spin."

Today, Minsc's Danger Shop classroom was set up with all sorts of things that might help make a critter's stay in the room much more comfortable: comfy pillows, warm blankets, bowls of food and water, puff balls and thick shoelaces to play with, and he hoped that, like Boo, everyone else's animals had transformed back to their normal states today, as well, or else this would be a much more interesting class than he had bargained for.

"Good morning, students!" he greeted them. "A few thing to note: I have your papers for you and they were all very good! I am impressed! I hope you can be as impressive on your final exam next week! This week, however, I hope you remembered to bring your pets, those of you who have them! It is show and tell day! I know we did something similar to this at the beginning of the semester, but now you've a whole semester's worth of knowledge about magical creatures under your belts, and maybe that has put certain things into perspective about your own critters."

There was a slight pause.

"That, and I'm pretty sure that they were actually people this weekend; that should be a good perspective! How did you feel about that? Did you learn anything new from them being a person? What were they like as a person? Please include all this fascinating information about your experiences, and don't hesitate to ask each other questions! If you have no pets, did you meet anyone else's pets this weekend? What was that like for you?"

"For example," Minsc offered, "Boo was a person this weekend, and, as a result, I have almost no food in my house at the moment. It takes a lot more to feed a person than it does to feed a hamster!"

"Your turn." He motioned to one student, beckoning for them to start.

"Last week we gained first-hand knowledge of Tzu's favorite weapon - fire," Ghanima said as the students settled down. "The events you saw happened on my homeworld about thirty years ago. Five troop carriers alighted in the deep desert, intent on raiding the sietch and picking up Fremen for questioning." She smiled at them, a slightly vicious edge to her eyes. "One carrier escaped, with only three prisoners. One of whom some of you met," she said with a nod to Ella and Agnes, "who allowed herself to be captured. Fremen casualties were mild, compared to the fate that befell the Emperor's troops."

"Before we continue with the last section of Tzu's manifesto, I'd like to take a few moments to discuss what you learned last week. Is fire a weapon you would use? Why or why not? Remember; a desperate enemy is the most dangerous."

"Afterwards, we will move on to one of my favorite sections, and the last chapter of the book." Ghanima held up her copy of the book and smiled. "Spies."

Knowledge of the enemy's dispositions can only be obtained from other men. )

Sucking down the last of a hard-boiled egg for breakfast and wishing he'd gotten a bigger coffee, Cal came in to pen the library in the hopes for a nice, comfortable, potentially nap-filled day.

"Good morning, class," she greeted them as they walked into the room.

"Today, we'll be doing a review of the metals with some practical discussion. After all, what use is the information if you don't know what to do with it? That said, if you'd all be so kind as to sit..."

"Next week is your final exam," Anakin said, leaning against his desk. "So this week is your final chance to ask me any questions you might have been wondering this semester. You can ask me about ethical scenarios you or someone else might have encountered. You can ask me my favorite deadly sin. You can ask what makes me think I'm so qualified to teach this, anyway."

His lips pressed together. "Though I wouldn't recommend that final question. Ask whatever you like. I'll try to answer it honestly."

He glanced around the room. "Who wants to start?"
