"Good morning!" Edward's eyes shone golden and he seemed in a particularly good mood. Each desk in the room had a single rose sitting on it. Half the roses were red and half were white.

"Today we'll be doing a roleplay exercise. It is easy to decide to take the moral high road, but it can be difficult to resist temptation when it arises." He seemed unaware of the double entendre. "If you have a white rose, your task today is simple. Hold onto that flower. If you have a red rose, your task today is to convince someone with a white rose to give their flower to you. You may use charm, lies or bribery if you wish. You may not," and here his eyes darkened for a moment, "use threats or force. Anyone who tries will earn detention immediately."

"Before we begin, I'd like to discuss next week's class. It is popular these days to wear skimpy or skin-tight clothing that leaves little to the imagination. Dressing modestly is sadly underrated. Next week we will have a fashion show for your peers to demonstrate that clothing can be both modest and practical. Please give your clothing size to our T.A.s before you leave and remember to invite your friends to class next week!"

Gavin was down by the flight shed again, waiting for the rest of the club members to arrive before starting in on anything. Once they had, he gave them all some time to settle down, eat some moddable cookies before getting started.

"So, hey guys," he said, smiling. "Thanks for coming today. Today's lesson...is something I thought would be different but fun but challenging. The things we're going to be flying today are...sort of out of the ordinary. You'll see when you get in there and have to make a choice of what to fly. I think it'll be fun."

He winced briefly.

"I hope it's fun. Let's get going."

He opened the door to the shed and gestured the first person inside.

"Good morning kids! At last it would be a good morning if any of you had wanted an A for the day and brought me coffee, but... We'll have to just live with caffeine-free B's I guess."

Oh, he was so very disappointed with them. So very disappointed.

"Today we'll be making pasta! Since I know you all can boil water without exploding anything-- and no, that isn't me giving anyone ideas about trying to add any sodium to it. Salt, yes, sodium no. Just as a word to the wise if anyone just so happens to be carrying it around in their pockets for the off-chance if might come in handy someday." Deadpool cleared his throat. "Which I don't do with my pouches. Shut up and get into groups of two!"

There was flour, salt, eggs and oil out and ready for them to use today. "Now, you can either have some fun like kids and Mario Batali, of course, and make it by hand... Oooooor you could go the lazy way and have the mixers do it for you. But that pasta better be the best damn thing I've ever tasted in my entire life or so help me god I will give you all F's that don't really mean anything!"

Scaaaaaary threats, right?

"Your partner can try making a sauce while the noodles are being made, mmmkay? Have fun!"

Evey had never, personally, opened the library. However, it wasn't like she was doing it alone -- she had Altra to help, and Karal to a lesser degree.

After all, as much as she loved her boyfriend, there was only so much a blind puppy could help with.

"When looking at a country," said Mohinder, from the front of the classroom. "A frequent indicator is their development. How advanced - whether economically, culturally or technologically. It can be something as straightforwardly derived as income, or less easily defined - the standard or quality of life of those living there."

He passed round a set of handouts, detailing some common indicators. "Of course, any single or even group of indiators can hide a variation in the population. Perhaps a rich country with an underclass without access to education."

"Wealth and more human development factors are always correlated," Mohinder said. "Take a look at these indicators, and - bearing in mind how the data might have been collected - I'd like you to find the ones you think the most important."

He leaned back against the wall, adding, "And why those, and how would they depict your home?"

"As leaders you will not always be popular," Nathan said as he passed around that week's handout. "Let's face it, if absolutely everyone agreed on what was the right thing to do you'd be out of a job. I don't care if you're running on a free chocolate for everyone platform. Someone out there, somewhere, won't like it.
