It wasn't the students' imagination if Professor Rogers seemed kind of distracted today. "We sort of touched on Ancient Egypt last week, but it's rather a huge subject, so I'd like to cover it in more depth this week." He handed out some more papers, then gave a lecture talking about the latter part of Egypt's great period, some of the great building projects, etcetera, and touching on the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun and why this was important--mostly because it hadn't been raided. "So basically, the Egyptians buried everything they thought the dead person might need in the afterlife with them, or a facsimile of it. My question for the day is, if we did this in modern times, what do you think would be included in the burial?"

My Country - Week 4 - Friday 3rd period

Once everyone was seated, Yondaime came into class carrying a gigantic stack of large books. He dropped them down on the desk with a large thud, which caused some of the tomes to spray out large amounts of dust.

“History!” He smiled as he turned to the class. “How did your country come to be? Was it part of a larger country and split off in a revolution? Was it indigenous tribes that banded together? What kind of culture did your ancient people have? What do they all believe? Why did the people decide to make your country their home?” Yondaime paused in his questions and smiled. “History influences the way your country is run, how the people react to things, different countries, religion, government, military, art, music, traditions. The list goes on and on.”

“So today, I want you to come up with a basic history for your country. You can go into as much depth as you want to. You can of course work with your fellow countries to see if your history overlaps or intersects with each other. You don’t have to present anything today, but I will want it included in your midterm where you all present your countries to the class.”

Student Council Meeting: Friday Lunch

There was pizza from the old pizza place that was now the new pizza place for lunch today as well as some of the excellent pasta salads and desert they had.

Peter had his notes at the ready as soon as everyone arrived.  "I apologise for the lack of a meeting last week my player is an idiot," he said first.  "But I don't think it threw us off too much.  We just need to plan well this week and next for the dance on the fifteenth.  Naminé brought up the idea of a masquerade last meeting, and Turtle suggested nothing 'too pink.'  Do those themes work for everyone?  Or does anyone else have a suggestion to put on the table?"

"Once we've decided the theme, we'll need to determine who's going to do what and if we had any other ideas for events to sponsor in the next month."

This morning there was a closed library, there was a Karal, and there was a Firecat.

Soon after, there was an open library and a Karal with a cup of tea.

There was still a Firecat around somewhere, but he was well hidden today.
