My Country - Week 4 - Friday 3rd period

Once everyone was seated, Yondaime came into class carrying a gigantic stack of large books. He dropped them down on the desk with a large thud, which caused some of the tomes to spray out large amounts of dust.

“History!” He smiled as he turned to the class. “How did your country come to be? Was it part of a larger country and split off in a revolution? Was it indigenous tribes that banded together? What kind of culture did your ancient people have? What do they all believe? Why did the people decide to make your country their home?” Yondaime paused in his questions and smiled. “History influences the way your country is run, how the people react to things, different countries, religion, government, military, art, music, traditions. The list goes on and on.”

“So today, I want you to come up with a basic history for your country. You can go into as much depth as you want to. You can of course work with your fellow countries to see if your history overlaps or intersects with each other. You don’t have to present anything today, but I will want it included in your midterm where you all present your countries to the class.”

[Plz wait for OCD It's all yours.]

Mikey's country had a very... special history.

"Pizza! The whole history is pizza! Starting from when the ancient Cowabungatopians worshipping the great pizza gods, whose cheesy wisdom led them to become a strong, brave, and awesome people."

Cowabungatopia was awesome.

"History? Aww man..." Demyx tapped his pen rhythmically against the desk. "What kinda history should we have? Why can't we just, you know, live in the moment?"

"It's a bunch of islands," Jack started. "And... they... had to trade with each other because some of the islands had good pastures, and some had good farming and some were better for boat building. Or something. So they started trading, and the tribes came together and formed a nation because the rest of the countries are all land." Made sense to him.

At the end of class, Ronan came up. "Professor?" he said, a bit softly. "May I have a moment?"

"I wanted to apologise for missing class last week," Ronan explained. "I... Uh, it's not really properly an excuse, but my boyfriend broke up with me the day before, and I wasn't exactly at my best. Is there anything you'd like me to do as punishment?"

[AKA I totally failed at remembering to sign in. ^^;; ]

Ronan smiled in return. "Thank you, Professor. That shouldn't be a problem at all -- I already have some notes on that as it is..." He grinned. "I'm having a lot of fun with this class."

I won't let you do it for a while.

...Unless you wibble, because I can't hold up to that.
