Interdisciplinary Studies or Whatever, Class 6, Friday, Period 3

Today's class was held in front of the main campfire, by the cabins. There was a desk and chair for each student, and on each desk was a pen and a stack of paper. Squall stood by with his arms crossed and did NOT look happy.

Construction [Friday]

Fraser decided to continue Operation Test the Equipment for one day longer. So, the construction site is alive with noise this morning and Fraser looks quite pleased with this development.

To add his own personal touch onto the project, he's also told a few of the construction workers to bang intermittently on the walls outside of a certain office with the excuse of testing the foundation and how sturdy the rebuilt walls were. They were more than happy to oblige.

The safety gear is out and the construction site is open.

Announcements [Friday Morning]

Umbridge made the public announce system work today. After the antics in her office, there was no way she wasn't going to address the school.

"I'm sure you all find it quite funny to vandalize and otherwise wreck my office. And I'm sure you all are quite proud of yourselves. But, I assure you, I am not laughing and when I find out who did this, there will be consequences of a severe nature. SEVERE."

There's a pause as she let's that sink in.

"Today is Friday. The day before the weekend that everyone so loves around here. I advise you to be on alert this weekend, though. I have been meaning to come by and inspect your dormitory rooms. So, I just might see some of you this weekend. We can have tea. And chat."

Her voice is slightly more cheerful when she said, "I am having office hours for those that wish a visit. My door is always open. Have a pleasant day."

Harriet had sent out a handwavy email, telling the students that the two classes would once again be combined. Once everyone had arrived, she smiled and stood up. "We'll be together again next week, and since we'll be fairly busy, I thought we'd have an easy day today. So I'm going to tell you a story.

Library [08/17]

There was a chicken in the library.

"Book book book book," the chicken said, scratching at the service desk.

For the third time that morning, Thursday gave the chicken a book. This time it was Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens (not to be confused with Darles Chickens). The chicken tucked the ridiculously enormous book under its wing and jumped off the desk, disappearing out the door with it.

This time, Thursday couldn't resist the urge to follow to find out where the chicken was taking the book. She followed it outside and down to the Preserve where she saw the chicken give the book to a frog sitting by a small pond.

"Book book book book," the chicken said hopefully.

"Readit," the frog said. "Readit."

Ba bum CHING

Thursday shook her head and returned to the library.
