"Good afternoon," Vala greeted the students cheerfully as they entered, still wearing her customary clothing, "and I hope you all had a profitable weekend. As you know, last week we discussed what treasures are valuable to each culture. This week, we'll begin to learn how to find them."

And Vala almost teaches something useful )

"For this class, I'll ask you to explain your favorite way of verifying information, and then I'm going to let you loose with the maps--you have one of Fandom, and one of the night sky in the northern hemisphere of this planet. If you have a town map, I would like you to explore with it--mark what is at each location, or pick one location, and write down something valuable that you find there, so you can find it again. If you're using the star maps, I would like you to go out at night and attempt to find as many constellations as you can. As a tip for those of you who are interested in dating, this is an excellent activity for that sort of thing. Please mark them off as you find them."

[ooc: OCD is up! in a second. Handwaving is, as always, possible, if not as much fun.]

As the graduates approached the remains of the school they will see that the debris has been cleared away, leaving only the rubble of the school to be seen. There's moddable construction equipment around the work site (nothing like forklifts and bulldozers for student use though). There are hard hats (required) for each student who is working on the job site.

Fraser's there, out of uniform (jeans and a flannel shirt) and also wearing a hard hat.

"Welcome to the first day of reconstruction efforts," he greeted them. "As you can see, there's a lot of work that needs to be done before the school can reopen. Foundation needs to be laid, bricks need to be stacked, framing needs to be put up and so on and so forth. That's why you're all here to help."

He smiled. "Please pick up your hard hats, tool belts and dig in. There's plenty of work to go around."

[Reconstruction begins! No need to get specific on what you're rebuilding. Just that you're rebuilding is enough. Visitors can have lunch with the workers should they so desire. I'm around if there are any questions.]

Deadpool? Still overly excited about teaching this subject. Like a giddy school girl even.

Though that put images of himself in a little plaid miniskirt and, while hot, was not something he wanted to think about. Ever. (But the knee socks would compliment the look so wonderfully!)

He hated his brain sometimes.

Hit him baby one more time )

[[ooc: Please wait for OCD is up! Have at it! And I will explain the assignment in the OOC, if'n you need.]]

Once again the class was in the Danger Shop, which was set up to look like a target range again. There was coffee and donuts on the table with the sign in sheet as well as another handout.

"Good morning," John said, putting down his own cup of coffee. "Today we're going to be looking -- and trying out -- various sorts of handguns." He talked at some length about the various types and advantages and disadvantages, covering the information that was in the handout.

"But enough talking," he said finally. "What you're all here for is to get to actually try them out for yourself. So please step up to one of the open spots on the target range. Like last week, the computer will provide whatever gun you ask to try -- as long as that gun falls under the category of handgun and is a projectile -- not energy -- weapon. If you're comfortable with a certain type of handgun, try something different. I'll be around to each of you to observe and give advice and suggestions as I feel are needed. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Please remember the gun safety rules we talked about last week and follow them; failing to do so will earn you detention." John looked around at the students and gave a boyish grin. "So, shall we begin?"

[ooc: wait for ocds are up. Fire at will.]

Sam was very happy to be back in the library, even if it was still a mess. But enough space had been cleared out that people could come in if they needed or wanted to.

"Welcome back to class, my little goth students!" Abby said cheerfully, waving her parasol at the class. "Today we've got a volunteer to help us learn what works and what doesn't work for goths."

Abby walked over to stand next to Bel, who was wearing a plain white t-shirt and blue jeans. "This is Bel, but feel free to come up with a more goth-sounding name if you want. He needs your help. Look at his healthy skin tone, his relatively tame hair and his obviously lame clothing. People, this poor soul needs your mad goth skills!"

"Pick a specific thing and make Bel look better." Pointing to the same boxes from the first class, Abby pointed out that everything was in Bel's size. "You learned how to dress yourselves last week, so now let's see if you can pass on that knowledge to someone else."

"Good afternoon," Steve said. "Today we're going to make dream catchers, as I have been told they are traditional at summer camp. The instruction sheets and supplies should be on your tables. If you need any help, just let me or my TA--" Steve nodded at Teddy--"know. Also, I thought it would be nice if we all introduced ourselves so no one's working next to a total stranger. I'll start. Like I said last week, my name is Steve Rogers. I'm eighty-nine years old--yes, really--and I'm from New York City. I used to be in the army, but before that I went to art school." Steve pointed to a student at random. "You're next."
