There's a coffee machine in the back of the room - a little dusty, but he'd had to dig it out of one of the closets - and cups, cream and sugar for those who want them. There's also a table by the door with an informational handout for everyone to take.

Logan is sitting on his desk again, the screens off today, and he waits until everyone's taken their seats before beginning.

Imagine you're on a desert island. )

When the students arrive, they see a row of tables along each side of the classroom. The row on the left has a number of telephones and the row on the right has a number of computers.

"Afternoon, everyone," Lorelai said once they'd all arrived and taken their seats. "Today we're going to learn about modern technology. Communication is a very important part of our society and, currently, the most efficient and widely used methods of communication are the telephone and the internet."

She went on to give a brief history of the telephone and the internet.

"Now, half of you can play with the phones and the other half can play with the computers. In twenty minutes, we'll switch, so everyone has a chance to try everything. Marty, Jaye and I will be around to help if you need it. And those of you who have already mastered these skills can offer help as well."

There is a sign on the door to Mary's classroom that students are to gather in the park today.

As Yomiko entered the library Monday morning, she tacked a sign to the door.

Congratulations, new library aides!

Sam Winchester
Please report to the library for training as soon as possible.

Then she went into the library, picked out a book on world history, and settled in to catch up on what had happened in this dimension since World War II, since apparently it was very different.

The lights were dimmed as students entered the room and signed in. Professor Roslin sat at her desk, a laptop computer angled off to her right. The most immediately visible item, however, was the large plasma screen with the accompanying SmartBoard, illuminated behind her. Closer inspection showed that the image on the board was simply a larger version of her laptop screen. Several sheets of paper are on the desk, prepared for each student. On top is a copy of the syllabus.

She frowned a bit at the computer as it dinged loudly and tossed a few error messages her way, each one visible on the main screen. "Oh, stop that," she said quietly, clicking through them. Her eyes darted a glance at the clock. She quickly closed down one program, booting up another. A political map of the world flickered onto the screen.

Rising from her seat, she made her way to the front of the desk and removed her classes. She stood with her arms folded across her chest, weight resting against the forward edge of the desk, and legs crossed at the ankles. 'Okay, today we're going to jump right into the basics...' )

El took a sip from his mug and looked out at his small class. "Buenos dias, mis estudiantes. //I hope you had a good weekend. Welcome to the second Spanish class.//"

He walked around to the front of the desk and leaned against it. "Now, I would like to apologize at the beginning of class for something. I have never taught a foreign language before, and I fear that I may not be particularly adept at it. If there's anything you don't understand, please come talk to me about it."

Lecture and Song )

El stopped playing and coughed. “Well, something to that effect. If you want, why don’t you all try to come up with your own song about the present tense? I'll accompany you on my guitar. Oh, and on your way out, be sure to pick up a vocab sheet and study it for next week. We're starting on basic stuff that is essential to getting by."

[[Sorry it’s up so late. I wasted God knows how much time trying to write the song. So I’m going to make all of you do it! HAHAHAHAHAHA!]]

Things were looking promising in his class. Yondaime whistled slightly as he went over the possible team combinations from what he could tell from the students thus far, though with the information he had so far it wasn't really permanent. He leaned back into his chair with a content sigh, glad that the Gama's hadn't thought to start bugging him in his office. Still he had been hoping that at least someone would poke their head in.

[ooc: I really need to start posting the night before with these things -_-; And even more OOC FWEEEE Yondaime's gonna be in the anime soooooooon /fangirling]

The classroom is dimly lit and there's a projecter set up to a laptop.

"Good morning," says Daniel, beaming all around. "Today, we're going to be touching on Ancient Egypt. There's packets on your desks with information about mummies and health and --" His face clouded and he frowned slightly. "gods. You can look at all that in your leisure, but first, I'm going to talk to you a bit about my dig in Egypt this summer."

Daniel has a power point presentation and everything which would have been done had the mun not fallen asleep yesterday. It's mostly pictures of sand. And more sand. And yes, you guessed it, sand. Daniel's highly enthusiastic about it, however, as he babbles on quite happily for half the lecture.

"Okay, for the second half, I apologize to those of you who aren't used to computers and also to those who took Egyptian archaeology last year, as you'll have already played a couple of these games. There's a choice of three to play, so have fun and talk to me if you have any questions or need a hand."
