Jarod waited for the class to arrive under a makeshift tent. Next to him were plastic shovels and pails. And a large group of kittens that had gotten curious about what he was doing and had decided to sit in. One or two were in the pails, either playing or curled up and sleeping.

"Good morning, everyone. Unfortunately, because of Fandom's...eccentricities," he looked at the kittens, then the pudding, which occasionally glopped from the sky, "I don't feel safe sending you out on the water today. But that's not all that you can do at the beach," he continued, "Today you'll be making sand castles--but they don't need to look like castles, if you feel like being more free form about it. There are also frisbees and a volleyball, if you want to play with those instead."

Book Fair

Giles had gotten up at ack o'clock and actually had toted five boxes of books to the Fandom High Gym before he "cheated."

Everything was now set up neatly on tables, and separated by genre.

There was also coffee and hot water urns, bottled water, and a variety of pastries and breads set on a table near the register.

The First Annual Fandom High Book Fair was open for business.

[ooc: Hang on to your collective hats while I get the OCD threads up, please.

Threads are UP. Whew. I think you all know how this works. Go look for a book. Up to you whether you find it or not. No, there is no magic/new age section. Yes, Giles has planned it that way.

That's it! Go to town! Wait. No. Stay here and buy stuff...]

The flight simulator had been reconfigured again--this time to something that should seem a bit more familiar to Earth-based students: The F-16 Flying Falcon.

F-16s and brooms. Only in Fandom. )

He walked over to the simulator and turned it on. "You can take a practice run on the F-16, then there are two different exercises: an air-to-surface that will test your accuracy and an air-to-air one that will test your reflexes." He smiled. "Have fun."

[OOC: If you could RSVP for the field trip here, that would make V-mun and I very, very happy. Thanks!]

Artie awaited his campers in the main campfire area as usual.

Well, almost as usual. Today he was wearing a football helmet and seemed to have stuck a playground ball up his shirt.

It’s best not to ask, really.

Welcome, campers! I hope all of you had a very pipe week. I know I have. The weather seems to have become Dada in our honor! And tasty! I’m sure you all have your own Dada stories to tell today, as well!

Once the reporting on their days of Dada was done, Artie pulled the ball from beneath his shirt and bounced it on his head a few times. “Some of you know that I ran detention this weekend. We had a very successful game of dodgeball, there. So successful that I have decided that today, we are going to play our own game! Dada dodgeball!

The field was nicely clear of kittens, butterflies, and pudding. There are six five-gallon buckets and twine, creating a rectangular playing field divided down the middle.

These are your rules!” Artie held up a piece of paper with the words “rules for dodgeball” written on it in bright, friendly letters. Then he ripped it apart. “Have fun!

[ooc: OCD is going up. . . . totally up now. Play ball!]

The PA system came to life early Friday morning with a possibly deliberate electrical screech.

"Attention everyone. This is a reminder that the following students need to report to detention tomorrow morning:

Alec
Joxer
Walter Dornez
Tyler Durden
Pippi Longstocking
Jamie Madrox
Conner McKnight
Cameron Mitchell
M. Parker
Peter Parker
Peter Pevensie
Nadia Santos
Dawn Summers
Dean Winchester
Sam Winchester

And our lottery winner this week is Gwynn Hood. Sorry Gwynn. As for the rest of you? Honestly, I'd almost think you all wanted to get detention at this rate." She sighed. "That is all for this morning. Thank you."

The book fair was in the school gym, so Tyler had handwavily sent out an email telling the basketball team to practice in the camp gym instead.

He was attempting to clear the court of tiny frogs through enthusiastic dribbling. Sadly, the frogs seemed to enjoy the vibrations.

[OOC: Please wait for OCD's up, go for it. Do whatever drills strike your fancy, no need to play them all out. Expect some SP from me, sorry.]
