It's hard to tell if Zordon is relieved or worried this morning. It's probably a bit of both, really, considering he let Alpha 5 act as the mediator in the laundry strike.

"Good morning, students, and welcome to the last day of classes for the year. I am . . . relieved to announce that the following message was received from the leader of the washer/dryer resistance around midnight last night:

During the negotiation process, a suitable form of compensation was agreed upon. As of now all students' clothes will be released to them, and we will be collecting our payment over the course of the day. We hope to not have to undergo this process again.

"

A very brief, yet loaded, pause.

"We ask that you please avoid stampeding the laundry room in order to retrieve your personal effects for fear of provoking the washers and dryers again. Good luck to those of you taking your last finals, and everyone please enjoy the last day of classes."

Zordon doesn't mention that he actually has no idea what the laundry machines' idea of suitable compensation is . . . that's what he gets for letting Alpha do the negotiations. But really, they were most likely to sympathize with a fellow machine. Right?

[OOC: Yes, today is Underwear Day. * Please see this post for details on how this will work. * *is not keeping an eye on the feed from Principal Washburn's office, nooooo*]

The Chef bursts into tears. Das Schnitzel rolls her eyes and turns on her chicken to human translator.

"Don't worry about him students. He's a little dramatic. It runs in his family. You should see his mother on Thanksgiving. All "My sun luvs a chickee! My sun luvs a chickee!" Quite the pain in the ass, really." she says.

Today's Menu Is:
-Senior Pick! (If you're a senior you pick what you want to eat)

-Tacos

-Enchiladas

-Nachos

-Virgin Margaritas (But judging from her somewhat pleasant demenor, Schnitzel's margarita definitely isn't a virgin)

"Happy Cinco de Mayo and congratulations to the seniors. Chef and I will miss you very much."

The Library

It's Janet's last day opening the library, and she'd truthfully hoped to be a bit better-dressed for it. Sadly, she's down to her last jogging outfit--lavender shorts and a black t-shirt that was a little too short for her to be comfortable in it--and since she's out of clean socks, she's running around the school barefoot. Her sandals have gone missing since last summer, and she's not about to wear her running shoes without socks.

But! The last day of the term was library aide party day, no matter how silly she looks, and so she's hauled a couple of shopping bags filled with gourmet foods--Dr. Pierson was duly harassed for his credit card as forfeit for abandoning them to teach history, and also, Professor Wagner was just too nice for that kind of harassment--so she unlocked the door, flipped on the lights, and set out a bunch of mod your own yummies food and drinks behind the Collections Desk. Technically, it was just for the library aides, but they were all nice women. Hush, you. So roomies and friends and could probably be persuaded to share.

Random passers-by might even have luck too. As long as none of them had any overdue library books. Or were willing to accept a malleting and returned their book first.

Office Hours

He's certainly spent a lot of time in his office this week, Daniel reflects. He's marking Molly's archaeology report. Maybe he'll get the other reports in early enough to mark them today?

Although that would require him to be productive. Possibly not.

His door is open.

Rita sat quietly behind her desk, finalizing grades.

Now would be the time to turn in those interviews.

The Danger Shop is set up to look like the parking lot outside a certain museum. Complete with T-Rex statue. As Tommy stares up at it, he rolls his eyes. He should have gotten someone from the school to help program these scenarios instead of writing Hayley. She had a weird sense of humour.

"Okay class, today's your final." He waves to the Jeep (of course it's the Jeep) parked outside the museum. He hands each of them a list of tasks (shoulder checks, paralell parking, staying at the speed limit). "You'll note that each thing on your list is worth a certain number of points. For each task you don't do correctly, those points will be removed from a score of 100."

[ooc: please mod yourselves completing the first, oh, few minutes of the test. there's something planned to happen after that.

After watching a message from home on her minicomp, Honor sat back in her chair, puzzled expression across her features. Willie and Hamish were on their way? And why had her mother sounded so vaguely ominous? She felt more than a little uneasy about the whole thing -- especially since she'd just provided her support for a few issues coming up for a vote in the Commons. Clearly something was going on that she should know about, and it was bad enough that it took both Alexanders to break the bad news.

Sensing her concern, Nimitz sat up in her lap, placing one truehand on each shoulder. He looked her directly in the eye and he gently soothed her nerves through their link. Silly person, his eyes seemed to say.

Honor chuckled. She reached up and scratched behind his ears, shaking her head. "You're right, Stinker. I can't worry about it just now. I have to get these grades ready."

The 'cat offered a definitive nod, then swarmed off her lap and onto a far corner of the desk. He sat there, tail flicking occasionally, and watching as she filled out the spaces in her gradebook.

Despite Nimitz' efforts, however, there was still a nagging voice in her mind that Hamish and his younger brother Willie couldn't be bringing good news.

There might have been a tear in Zhaan's eyes as she gazed at her students. She seemed rested, however, and possibly full of basking in the sun good tea. The bunny slippers even seem chirpier. "I hope you enjoy the summer off, class."

Without saying more, she hands back everyone's finals, including their grades.
