"Well," said Prompto, with a little bit of a grin as he sat on the desk at the front of the classroom as usual, his legs kicking out just a little bit, because someone still could never really manage to ever sit still, "it's our last class, and I hope you guys have really enjoyed going on this color journey through photography with me. I know I've really enjoyed seeing what you guys have brought to the table in this class. No lecture today, then, especially since there's not going to be any homework, but, after we've had a chance to look at everyone's purple photos from last week, I was thinking we could just hang out and talk photography. You guys can ask questions or if there's anything you want me to go over again or a little more in depth, we can do that. Or you can just head out and call it a day and enjoy the rest of your week. Whatever you want to do, really, nice and easy end to the class, you know?

"But before any of that," he said, "we've got pictures to look at! So who's going first for the last time?"

"In this class," Yukari said, maintaining a cool and professional disposition despite the eagerness and excitement building within her...for the most part, "we've gone over a lot of different types of video games. I tried to hit all the classics, all the big ones, but there are still a lot of them left on the table, in the limited time we've had together. I encourage you all to get out there and enrich yourself by playing those as well. But for today, our last class, I've definitely saved the best for last. Today, we'll be exploring..."

She reached over to pluck a very large checkboard flag from wherever it was hiding in the ether and waved it around triumphantly, then lifted a whistle hanging around her neck to her lips to blow into it loudly and thus making the danger shop reveal a race car track and several sweet and entirely moddable racing cars.

"Racing games!"

Pause for maniacal laughter, which Yukari was delighting in providing just then.

"Now," she said, "racing games are probably my favorite, even if fighting games do come in a very close second, because, you see...with real cars, you have to worry about things like, oh, speed limits and traffic laws, other people, mechanical realities, the laws of physics....but in video games? The really good ones, anyway? Not so much! You can drive however you want and not be restricted by ideas like that people 'might get hurt'" her sarcastic finger quotes were accompanied with the rolling of her eyes, "or because it's 'too dangerous.' And if you don't know how to drive? That's fine, too! This is a great place to learn! So let's all take a moment and find a car we like and then it's petal to the metal as we hit the course!"

"We're not going to have an exam today, because there's still so much information we haven't covered, and frankly, I don't know if an exam would help that much. What you remember for an exam is not what you will remember when someone gets hurt, but hopefully you will remember something. Instead, we're going to talk about burns.

Today there weren't any guns for the class. Instead, there were several buckets of paint filled balloons. Was that better or worse? Debatable.

"We'll be going back to basics today," Tony said with a quick smile, sticking to his co-teacher's side this morning. "A good old fashioned water balloon fight. Only the water is paint."

"We think we've closed up most of the pits around the course," Steve added, "but we might've missed one or two."

"Possibly." Guys, no. "I'm sure it's fine."

"Sometimes surprises are fun," Steve said to Tony optimistically. Sometimes surprises were also unexpected, gaping pits to fall into! He wasn't examining that too closely. "Today will be fun."

Today, for a change, class was meeting neither in the classroom nor at Portalocity. They met just inside the building (because Jon was not enjoying this heat and had no desire to make anyone else wait in it, either). When they were all there, Jon nodded and began.

"We're taking a local trip today. I thought we'd start from here so that if you didn't know where it was, you could learn." He took off walking at a pace that meant they'd have to work to keep up (or tell him to slow down). "If you've decided you like cats and would like one of your own, Fandom has its own shelter where you can adopt one. And if you've decided you like them but don't want one of your own, I imagine they can probably still use volunteers; for that, you'll have to speak to the manager. At any rate, today we're visiting Furnado to see what they have on offer, and to hear from the veterinarian what taking care of a cat involves."

Once they were there (and again out of the heat), he shook hands with the modded with permission vet, and sat down to listen to her talk about food, water, litter boxes, medical care, and such. (And, let's be real, to let the kittens crawl all over him.) Everyone else was welcome to do the same if they were so inclined.
