"Hey, everyone!" Prompto greeted the class with his usual eager grin, rubbing his hands together a little and completely unable to sit still so he was bouncing a little in front of the classroom. "Welcome back! I hope you got the chance to take some really good red photographs this week, because that's what we're starting the class with today: a chance for you to show them off and we can talk about them a little bit. Questions about the shot, maybe attention to what the intent was compared to how we receive it, what your thought process was when taking it....all those kinds of things!

"And when everyone's had the chance," he continued, "we'll move onto our next color, which, if you know the classic color spectrum, you'll already know is going to be...." Grinning, he reached behind him to the bowl on the desk, and picked up from it an orange and held it out for a second, "orange. And, hey, if you guys want an orange to get you inspired, feel free to help yourself, just maybe wait until after you've shown your pictures because they can get a little sticky if you're not careful.

"But we'll talk about orange in a bit. Let's turn our attention to red for now and see what you've brought in today! Who'd like to go first?"

As someone who generally got frustrated and annoyed eventually with Character Creation, Yukari was very pleased to move onto something else this week, and she really hoped everyone else was as well! And anyone already familiar with video games would probably recognize the blue-sky brick-ground setting they found themselves in when they entered the Danger Shop....as well as all the platforms and question-mark boxes floating in the air ahead of them.

"Welcome back, everyone!" Yukari greeted cheerfully. "And now it's time to get into the good stuff! Now, I wanted to start with something classic, but if you go too far back in video game history, it's just really boring. Ping pong? Text-based? No thank you! And while there's a few other options for the really retro stuff I could tap into...and still might, actually, because there's some good space stuff, too!....I wanted to start out today with everyone's favorite classic platformer featuring a supposedly Italian plumber! Instead of an Italian plumber saving the princess," who was definitely in another castle, "it's you!

"That's right! Today, we're going through the metaphorical pipes to go through our very own levels of this classic, iconic game! And, just like those games, you only have three lives to start out with, so be careful! Once they're done, you're out, and you have to sit and watch everyone else go through it! Whoever gets the furthers, wins!"

What did they win?

Nothing but pride and glory, but, hey! That wasn't nothing!

"So I'll take a few moment to explain to you all about the mechanics of the game, some of the enemies you'll encounter and some of the traps and power-ups to watch out for, and then you'll give it a try! If you want, you can play two-player as well, or go it alone! Any questions before we begin?"

It wasn't the teacher from last week waiting for the class this time around. No, it was Tony, still sporting a few paint smudges that hadn't been fully scrubbed off from his usual class earlier in the day.

"Dr. Blake had a thing back in New York, so I'll be covering today," Tony said. "Which means... I guess I'll be providing everyone with a basic first aid kit."

As an Avenger, 'basic' meant something very different from the normal kit provided to students. What do you mean people don't need a portable AED? It seemed normal to Tony!

"Don--Dr. Blake will be sure to explain everything in them once he returns, so look forward to that."

Don would regret asking Tony to cover class instead of Steve, honestly.

"So, look it over and come up with questions for next week," Tony suggested.

Did the teachers look especially eager to get going this morning? Yep. Sorry, Arden. "Everyone was very good last week," Steve said, grinning.

"This time we'll be adding in some boobytraps," Tony said brightly. "I think they're pretty ingenious, personally."

Because he built them.

"So, let's get to it," Tony added eagerly.

Today, class was meeting in the Danger Shop, which was set up to look like a large convention center. Jon was smiling, and Issa was ignoring everybody. "Hello, everybody. On Earth, there are a lot of people who love cats, and some of them formed something called the Cat Fancier Association, and every year they get together and have a show all about cats, with different breeds competing for awards and people giving presentations about them."

He gestured around. "I got some help to program this thing to be the main hall of last year's cat show, so you can have a look at all the different breeds and sorts of cats. There really are a wide variety."

And he turned everybody loose.
