"Hey, everyone!" Prompto greeted the class with his usual eager grin, rubbing his hands together a little and completely unable to sit still so he was bouncing a little in front of the classroom. "Welcome back! I hope you got the chance to take some really good red photographs this week, because that's what we're starting the class with today: a chance for you to show them off and we can talk about them a little bit. Questions about the shot, maybe attention to what the intent was compared to how we receive it, what your thought process was when taking it....all those kinds of things!

"And when everyone's had the chance," he continued, "we'll move onto our next color, which, if you know the classic color spectrum, you'll already know is going to be...." Grinning, he reached behind him to the bowl on the desk, and picked up from it an orange and held it out for a second, "orange. And, hey, if you guys want an orange to get you inspired, feel free to help yourself, just maybe wait until after you've shown your pictures because they can get a little sticky if you're not careful.

"But we'll talk about orange in a bit. Let's turn our attention to red for now and see what you've brought in today! Who'd like to go first?"

Before moving onto orange, we gotta finish out with the red love! Take your turn in showing off your photographs featuring the color red, share what you want about the images themselves, and then maybe spark a little bit of discussion about them!

Stark had, of course, taken a few photos of his strawberry tart from yesterday. It was right there!

"And now that we've had a good chance to explore the color red," Prompto said with a grin, once everyone'd had a chance to show off their work, "it's time to move onto our focus for next week's photos: orange!" Which would, of course, involve a quick little lesson on the history of orange in art, which would include a few paintings before really focusing heavily on the photographic use of the color, naturally starting with Rob Moses' Orange, Jospeh Fuller's Maple Tree, Maria Moreno's Grey and Orange, and finally finishing out with some suggestions on how to use orange in photography with many, many more examples included as he went along. Orange Chick from Y. Kravitz was getting a shoutout, too, if only because it made Prompto think of chocobos a lot, and one of his own, even, that proved that tripods and timing were your friend!

"The maple tree is beautiful," Stark said softly. "It almost doesn't look like a real place. Magical, almost."

Otherwise, he just might eat through so many oranges...Even if he did miss the ones that grew in Duscae. Earth oranges just weren't quite the same!
