Still sort of riding the high of yet another successful Mother's Day for Liz in the books (so much mint chocolate! So much adorable, indecipherable babble as Noctra explained to her everything she'd drawn on the card they'd made for her! So many things handwavily from Pick Your Poison cluttering up their bathtub now!), Prompto was bouncy and eager to get started with class, grinning as usual from the front of the room.

"Hey, everyone," he greeted them, "and welcome to Another Photography Class!" He cocked a finger gun at them, as well as a grin, chuckling a little sheepishly that he'd done that and then just quickly moving on. "This one's going to be focused on the use of color, and it's a pretty simple concept: each week, we'll focus on a color, you'll have some homework to build up a small portfolio of about four to six pictures, and then you'll show them off the following week before we get into the next color. We'll talk about the mood and effect that those colors can have when utilized certain ways, and talk about some examples in the color scheme. Pretty simple, right? If not, please, don't hesitate to ask me question, but I'm sure you'll start to pick up what I'm putting down as we get into it more.

"First, though, of course, especially since I see a new face," he gave a nod to Stewart assuming he was there OMG, "is introductions. I'd like to grab your name, how much experience you have in photography, and what you're hoping to get from this class. And, once we're done with that, we're going to take a moment to make sure everyone knows how to use the equipment. We really want to use digital for this class," a nod in particular to Arden and Stark, since they were in his last class and knew just how many different methods there could be!, "it just makes sharing the pictures so much easier. If you've already got a digital camera you know and love, great, you can totally use that! But, if you don't, or you just want to try something new, I've got some pretty sweet new cameras from the shop you can borrow."

(Was he a little partial to the Canon EOS series for very sentimental reason? You fucking bet he was!)

"And once we're done with that, we'll just right into some photos. We're doing the full color spectrum, so that means we'll be starting with red, but first! Any volunteers to kick us off on the introductions?"

He then blinked, and realized, "Oh, wait! I guess I should probably do one, too!" He laughed a little. "Okay, so I'll volunteer. My name's Prompto Argentum, I've been passionate about photography ever since I was a little kid, and now I bring my passion to you guys through these classes! I've also got a professional photography business if you ever need a photographer, and my wife and I run the Photo Hut here in town! And, for this class, I'm really hoping to see some great photos from you guys! Oh! Hey, we should also say our favorite colors! Mine's definitely yellow! Okay, enough about me! Who's next?"

Somehow, Yukari eventually managed to find out about the Danger Shop. Somehow, even more bewilderingly, she actually managed to figure out how to use it? No, she was trying not to examine it too closely, too, don't worry. But, either way, she had found out about it and she did figure out how it worked, and so that's what brought them all here today.

"Good morning!" she greeted everyone cheerfully. "And welcome to Video Games are Great! Where we're going to learn about all kinds of video games and why they're great! My name is Yukari Tanizaki, and I'll be your instructor for this class, and don't you worry! I know a lot about video games!

"But," she said, "before we get into the video games proper, we need to know who you are!" She gestured now to a screen that had popped up that had several fields in it, a rather blank canvas of a figure, and one of those digital keyboards that you knew was going to be annoying to actually type something out on, and several controllers. "And that means character creation!

"Now," she said, "this here is your pretty standard boilerplate character creation screen, where you'll have the chance to design your avatar from a wide variety of options and sliders, as well as input your name, where you're from, your favorite food, your favorite thing, your favorite color, and your preferred pet."

Will those be relevant at some point? Who knows! Maybe! Maybe not! Only time would tell!

"So," she said, "since character creation can be a long and lengthy process, especially since you'll be stuck with it for the rest of the session, we're going to take all class to really hone those avatars."

And also it was way less work for her!

"So, get to it, get to creating, and toward the end of the class, we'll spare a little time to share what we've come up with!"

When the students arrived in the classroom assigned for First Aid, they would find Don leaning against the desk at the front of the room, his walking stick propped against the desk beside him. "Good afternoon, everyone," he said once it seemed like no one else was coming. "I'm Dr. Donald Blake, and this is First Aid. Now, in case you're wondering, I am an MD, not a PhD, but I'm not currently licensed to practice because I was a little...dead. Don't worry, I'm from New York: these things happen; we have procedures. But the wheels of bureaucracy turn slow, so...well, you know what they say about those who cannot do, right?

"So I can put faces to names, first let's go around the room and have everyone introduce themselves. Name, something interesting about you, and any first aid training you've had previously." If someone still thought humors were a thing, he wanted to know about it right now. Once that was done, he said, "Okay, now we're going to talk about triage.

Medical talk and discussion of death under the cut. )

Were your teachers a little too excited to be out by the abandoned campsite with paintball equipment and protective jumpsuits for everyone? Well, yes, but it was summer and summer meant the annual "Fandom takes this class far too seriously" workshop and Steve Rogers, at least, was thrilled about it. "Welcome to paintball!" he said, beaming at them.

"If this is your first time playing, we'll be starting out easy with just the basics," Tony added. "And we'll move into more exciting game modes with each class."

Enjoy the paint sniper rifles in later weeks, folks.

"Today it's just you, the course, and the paintball pistols we've provided. Each one has six shots, but we've been nice and hidden ammunition around the course," Steve said, waving to the paint-stained campground. "Use the buildings as protection or for vantage points if you can get up faster than your classmates can shoot you. You have five minutes to change into your protective gear, then it's every person for themselves." He grinned. "Tony and I, as always, will also be participating."

"Just have fun with it," Tony said like he could prevent some people from going nuts. He could not. "It's a game, after all."

"Skywalker," Steve added a little more pointedly. "McGarrett."

"Welcome, everybody!" Jon was actually smiling this morning. Hey, he liked his subject. As evidenced by Issa lounging on the desk up front and getting plenty of scritches.

"This is 'Cats!'." Jon looked at them and shrugged. "If you don't know what a cat is, this is Issa, and she's a cat. There are all sorts of cats on Earth, organized into two subtypes - pantherinae, the ones that roar, like lions, tigers, and leopards - and felinae, the ones that purr, like cougars and domestic cats. The others I've mentioned are all wild cats that haven't been domesticated, bar a few insane individuals. Cats as they are now have been around for about three to five million years with few changes. They have flexible backbones, retractable claws, and good night vision, which makes them excellent little predators. Er...depending upon the temperament of the individual cat, of course." He eyed Issa, and she gave him an unimpressed look back.

"And that...that will probably be the most intellectual we'll get in this course. We're going to meet cats, pet cats, play with cats, and learn about cats. But first, I don't know if you all know each other, so we'll do introductions, as is the tradition. I'm Jonathan Sims - Jon or Mr. Sims is fine - and I'm from Bournemouth in England, though more recently London. Also in England. I'm from more or less the current time. I've owned or lived with several cats over the years, and currently have Issa."

He nodded at them. "So, erm. Name, roughly where and when you're from, and what experience you have with cats."
