It may be winter outside the school, but inside the Danger Shop, it was a beautiful, clear day, filled with bright blue skies and nice, comfortable temperatures. The class would find themselves out on a broad, open field, surrounded by forests, with a castle on a hill (it was only a model) looming in the distance. A training area was set up, with a variety of different posts and target dummies in a space marked with colorful banners, and, where your two teacher stood waiting, there were also racks and tables of (fully moddable) weapons waiting to be explored.

Amaya, of course, was the one to get things started, giving the students a nod once they had gathered.

"Morning, everyone," she said, "and welcome to Basic Weaponry. I'm Amaya Blackstone, local blacksmith, and this here's Rosa Diaz, local private eye. Together, we've been doing a course on weapons on and off for years here at the school, so you're in good hands if you're hoping to learn a thing or two about all weapons sharp and pointy, blunt and heavy, quick and speedy, or slow and crushing. Typically our lessons are going to be pretty straight forward: we spend the first part of the class learning about the weapon itself--that's my part of the deal--and then the second part of the class is spent learning how to effectively use that weapon--that's where Diaz comes in. By the time we're through, you should hopefully have a good, comprehensive overview of what you like, what you don't, and what you might want to use more of.

"Today, however," she continued, "is a bit different, as it's the first class. And tradition dictates, that first class is good for introductions. We like to do ours just a bit different, though. Behind us here, you'll see a wide plethora of various weapons. We'd like you all to take some time, give it a look, and find a weapon that either you're already familiar with, that you'd like to learn more about, that speaks to you in some way, shape or form....whatever it is, pick out a weapon, and, once everyone's made a choice, we'll go around, have you state your name, share a little something about yourself if you like, and then take a moment to explain why you picked that weapon. I've always believed you could tell a lot about a person, based on what kind of weapon they were packing, and so that's what we're going to do.

"Besides," she added with a bit of a grin, "once that's over..." She gestured toward the training area, "you'll get to use the rest of the class getting to use 'em, too! And with that..."

She stepped aside and gestured toward the racks and tables.

"Choose your weapon!"

"Well," Lana began. "This is a bit awkward. You see, I had planned to teach another semester of Sith Philosophy, but I put in the information for this class at a time when I was not quite myself. So instead, this is meant to be Jedi Philosophy. Which I do have some experience with, but have never exactly followed myself. So I imagine we're all in for an interesting class."

She spread her hands. "Still, we'll make do. So, let us begin with the standard first-week exercise: let me know your names, where you're from, and let's begin with what you know about the Jedi and what you hope to learn from this class."

She nodded to the first student to start.

The Danger Shop looked like a mechanic's shop today, with walls covered in hanging tools, and bins of parts. It actually sort of looked like Jaina's setup in the garage when she'd been in school.

"Welcome to Intro to Starship Maintenance," she greeted them. "In this class we're going to be learning some things about the ships from my universe and how to repair them. Some skills are transferable to other things, so you should hopefully learn a lot here. We're going to start off easy this week, so I want to know who you are and why you're here, and then we're going to go over what everything is."

Both Isabela and Aphra looked far too pleased with themselves today, possibly because they were actually teaching the class they'd submitted, not matter how loosely the word teach might apply.

"Welcome to Sexier Crimes: the Show," Isabela said cheerfully. "The class where it's all about watching sexy people doing sexy crime and learning from their example."

Please don't learn from example, kids.

"Anyway, since you're all vaguely familiar faces-" You had taught most them multiple times, Aphra. "We're going to do introductions a little differently, we're going to watch our first story, a classic, then before our next class I want you to figure out what role you'd have in the heist and introduce yourself with that then."

"Extra credit for creativity!" Isabela and getting creative where a pairing to fill anyone sensible with fear.
