in_sidon_we_trust: (we can do it!)

"Welcome back, everyone!" As always, Sidon greeted the class with a bright, beaming grin and a proud gesture of his arms over the gathered supplies on all the scattered tables where their next great summer time art and/or craft awaited to be created. "Today, we're going to be working with paper lanterns! Now, there are many ways of creating your own paper lanterns, with construction paper and the like, and I will certainly go over how if you'd like, but we also have these spectacular simple plain round paper lanterns that are just waiting to be transformed, and that is what we shall be focusing on today!

"Of course," he continued with a chuckle, "the sky is the limit, and the imagination knows no bounds, so you are encouraged to decorate your paper lanterns however you desire, but, if you'll all indulge me a little for the sake of the class, I would like to take a moment to go over three possible directions, to maybe inspire you or get that creativity flowing! So, allow me a moment to guide you through embellishing your lantern with paper craft flowers! Or perhaps you'd like to celebrate that good old Fandom spirit with something far more glittery! Or, of course, as always, there's my personal favorite, for obvious reasons, but something like a jellyfish lantern could be just the thing!

"And while the possibilities are endless," Sidon threw in a wink, "our time is not, so let us begin!"

"MEEP MEEP MEEP MEE!" Beaker said excitedly from where he stood at the front of the lab next to Miguel. "Meep!"

Oh boy, fire!

Miguel smirked. "Yeah, I have no idea, for the record. But today we're doing less explosions," at least theoretically, "and more straight-out fire." He grinned and waved at the assortment of items on the table. "We're building flamethrowers!"

Surely this would end well! "Meep meep meep meep meep," said the creator of the electronic sledgehammer, still somewhere on the island harassing wildlife, picking up what was probably the wrong end of something and holding it up like he knew what he was doing, "meep meep meep."

Miguel considered turning it around so the nozzle was pointing away, but honestly, what good would that do? Knowing Beaker, he stood a better chance of not hurting himself like this.

"A flamethrower has four things it needs: fuel, ignition, control, and an off switch." He was already betting to himself which one Beaker would forget. "And ideally the whole thing's fireproof itself, so you're not melting your hands." Right, Beaker?

"Meep," Beaker said, definitely not adding an off switch to his mechanism.

Yeah, that was the one. "So we've got a few different kinds of moddable potential tanks here, and you can choose a lighter, or matches, or...okay, I'm not sure how you'd make the rocks work, but go for it if that's your thing. Then there's tubing and nozzles. You can go for complex," he held up an actual flamethrower that looked like the military hardware it was, "or simple." He grabbed a lighter and hairspray can. "We're here if you have questions. ...Actually, maybe just ask me." Between the meeping and the Beakerness, that'd be the smart thing to do.

"MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE--" Beaker screamed as the flamethrower--already too strong for his wee felt arms to control--shot him across the room.

Um. No one tell Joe from Legal about this.

The Danger Shop today was configured to be the bridge of a massive Star Destroyer, moving through space, filled with officers and a few empty seats.

"Clearly we're back to spaceships today," Jaina began. "This is an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, which is a scary name for a battleship used by both sides where I come from. They have heavy weapons, come equipped with tractor beams to pull you in, can house thousands, and can carry multiple squadrons in it's hangar. They're not the best maneuverers in the galaxy, but it doesn't really matter because if you come across a Star Destroyer, you're in some trouble.

"Today you're going to work the bridge while you're fighting another Star Destroyer," Jaina said. "You're not probably not going to be able to get a direct shot at the other side and blow them up. But depending on where you're sitting you can aim weapons, you can deploy fighter squadrons, or you can control the tractor beam to try and capture their ships. Let's see what kind of damage you can do."

"Welcome, everybody," Hannibal said, giving a little bow as he greeted them today. "Today we will be visiting Tempura Kondo in Japan. It's a decorated restaurant, and one of the hardest to book in the country, but we have reservations.

"Tempura is, simply put, fried food, but very different from American fast food. You'll find quite a bit of seafood here as well as vegetables, provided in different meals that will include plenty of each, and the sweet potato is a specialty of the restaurant."

He led them through the portal and into a high-end shopping area. "The local language is Japanese, which I speak, and many will also speak at least some English. And if you would like to explore Ginza after the meal, again, please do not get lost."

Or he'd put you all on leashes.
