"Welcome back, everyone!" As always, Sidon greeted the class with a bright, beaming grin and a proud gesture of his arms over the gathered supplies on all the scattered tables where their next great summer time art and/or craft awaited to be created. "Today, we're going to be working with paper lanterns! Now, there are many ways of creating your own paper lanterns, with construction paper and the like, and I will certainly go over how if you'd like, but we also have these spectacular simple plain round paper lanterns that are just waiting to be transformed, and that is what we shall be focusing on today!

"Of course," he continued with a chuckle, "the sky is the limit, and the imagination knows no bounds, so you are encouraged to decorate your paper lanterns however you desire, but, if you'll all indulge me a little for the sake of the class, I would like to take a moment to go over three possible directions, to maybe inspire you or get that creativity flowing! So, allow me a moment to guide you through embellishing your lantern with paper craft flowers! Or perhaps you'd like to celebrate that good old Fandom spirit with something far more glittery! Or, of course, as always, there's my personal favorite, for obvious reasons, but something like a jellyfish lantern could be just the thing!

"And while the possibilities are endless," Sidon threw in a wink, "our time is not, so let us begin!"

The most involved instructions revolve around making the flowers yourself and, of course, the more intricate jelly fish, but hopefully, even if you don't decide to go with those designs, it'll inform you on how you do choose to decorate your laterns.

Sidon has given you a few possible avenues, but the details are all yours! Supplies are, of course, fully moddable, and Sidon is thrilled to see how all your lanterns may turn out!

Sakaki was tempted to pursue one of the examples that Mr. Sidon had provided for them, feeling that following something with instructions meant she was more likely to do a better job at it, but once she had that lantern in her hand, with its big round canvas of possibilities, she could only look at it and see a big round cat face staring back at her, and she knew what must be done.

So what she had in mind was actually quite simple.

But what she was ending up with was looking more like...melted rat than adorable cat...

But she was trying!

Libby was just so pleased to be back to herself again, which involved having hands rather than hooves, and was eager to get the chance to do something with them. The jellyfish lanterns looked like an interesting challenge, too, and so she set out to make a few of those in different colors, wondering if there were any of these paper lanterns at the store that might be significantly smaller than these large ones so that she could maybe make a few for Stabby's tank. It seemed like something he might like.

Even though she was still feeling tired, Liz was feeling a lot more focused than she had been recently, so she decided to try and work on some paper craft flowers from her lantern.

She thought it might be something nice to hang up in the nursery and, remembering her conversation with Dwight the other day decided to go for a yellow and grey theme.

It had been an eventful morning already and while there was a bit of a mess to clean up at his place and a new dresser to make now as well, Dwight welcomed the chance to unwind for a bit. And the paper lanterns were quite nice looking too and giving him some ideas for a project he might work on later.... once the dresser issue was resolved.

If there's one thing Sidon loves to do....it's swimming!

But talking is a very close second place!

A little motivational Sidon to get us through Tuesday.
