"Well," Jaskier began. "That certainly was a weekend, wasn't it?"

Understatement, Bard.

"Yes, it was," Cara said, very pleased with herself, because she'd had a great weekend. "Now I'm sure some of you now have existential crises but you can deal with those later."

Jaskier nodded sagely at that. Disassociate on your own time, class. "But it leads us to thoughts of the future! And how a nice, relaxing retirement is the goal, however unlikely it may be."

"Very is the word you're looking for," Cara added.

"No, personally, I plan to find a very wealthy patron." Sugar mama or daddy. It was pretty simple. "But what, as an artist, do you plan to do?" he asked the class.

"Remember, selling out is a completely valid option."

Thank you, Cara.

Luckily the table that Tahani dropped on her yesterday when Ms. Smith suddenly became a squirrel (and why did such things keep happening with such frequency?) had not been terribly heavy. Still, Belle was not up for heavy lifting today so she was shelving paperbacks. Of course, the rather large amount of paperbacks to be shelved were all from the romance section. Some of them were quite risqué. Obviously she needed to flip through a few to familiarize herself with that section of the library.

Belle had no other reason to be so engrossed in the books today. She certainly wasn't remembering any weekend events. Nor was she occasionally glancing at the door in case anyone in particular walked in.

Why there was a very expectant looking squirrel with a small bag of popcorn perched on top of one of the shelves she had no idea.

When class assembled that day there was no sign of  their fearless teacher.  Instead, there was a slightly bewildered Dwight standing there holding a squirming but admittedly adorable (and already becoming a handful) rabbit  in his arms.

"So, apologies on behalf of Amaya but class will be cancelled today...on account of the teacher being a bit too small to reach the anvils or bellows" he said with a nod towards the still determined fluff ball. "Not that she wouldn't try if I let her" he added with a laugh.

"Hopefully Amaya is back to feeling more herself next week!"

Goose had been spending most of the week being rather sad and distracted and feeling generally awful from the weekend and in the process he had completely forgotten about his class on Thursday until this morning, he had very briefly decided to do a movie day but then he had found a class that he had used from the last session and decided to use it again.

Admittedly he had used it a couple of times now for his classes but it was at least an easy enough class for him to get together on such short notice for times when he forgot about his class.

Which also tended to happen a lot.

“Welcome back,” he said softly, “this week we’re going to take a look at strength of materials, which is a topic that has been covered before but a good way to test that theory is by making rubber band helicopters ,”
