Oh, man. If Prompto thought catching his portal back to Insomnia on Monday had been difficult, it was nothing compared to dragging himself out of bed and into the school that morning. He probably should have just stayed on Eos until this morning to make getting here that much easier, but...well, if he'd done that, then last night...and earlier that morning...

...Right. Anyway. Class! He was teaching, teaching students, time to actually get his head in the game, which shouldn't be that hard, the class followed a formula, it was pretty much lather, rinse, repeat with the minor details changed.

"Okay!" he said, maybe more to himself than to the class as a whole, but it worked either way, and he clapped his hands together as if that would help him focus. "Right! Where were we? Photos. From, uh, last week's class, which was about..."

Fashion? No, that was the first one, pretty much. Landscape? Did they do commercials last week? Or was it stock photography? Ummm....

"You know what?" Prompto realized. "Change of plans! We'll go over last week's photos next week. This week, uh, focus on taking some good shots at prom, I guess? And, in the meantime...hold on."

Prompto whipped out his phone, did a little bit of scrolling, and connected it to the projector. "Okay, here we go. We're just gonna watch a documentary today, uh, about one of this world's most well-known modern contemporary photographers, and we'll, uh, we'll definitely get back on track next week. Cool? Cool."

Would this make things easier for everyone? Or worse? Prompto had no idea, but, well, they were about to find out!

Well, Gladio had been regaled with stories about what was going on with the island this week, and he realized he'd felt a little bit of it himself on Sunday before leaving, even if he didn't know at the time that's what it was. And the fact that he couldn't seem to stop sneezing definitely lead credence to the suggestion that it was definitely something in the air. So making the class do the usual thing out in the preserve did seem a little needlessly cruel, if that was true, so he'd been trying to think of a good alternative lesson.

It was a lot harder to do than it should have been, but, eventually, he landed on something, posted up a sign and sent out a message to let the students know to meet him out by the docks after he'd conveniently been able to locate what he needed in a supply shed somewhere...after having to chase a few amormous squirrels out.

"Sorry if any of you are afraid of water," he started with a bit of a grin, gesturing toward the small fleet of rowboat bobbing in the water, "but we're going over rowing today." There was a pause, lifting a finger as if to tell them to hold on a moment, as a sneeze started to build up, seemed to have gone away, and then hit with force. Gladio sniffled a little, shook his head. The constant horny thoughts, he could deal with, but these allergies were the worst!" So hop in, we'll go over some instructions, and then we'll set out, and see how far we can get without anyone going overboard."

And maybe he was sort of conducting a little test of his own to try and see how far out you'd have to go before you stopped feeling the effects of the pollen in the air, because that was the kind of weird wilderness survival details he was interested in.

Congratulations, the Danger Shop had nary a chipmunk costume in sight! Instead there was what looked suspiciously like an iced over lake.

"So, ah, for some people, this is a stressful sort of week," Jaskier said, bundled up in a jacket. "Less stressful and more fun for others, but I digress!"

Guess which category he was in.

Don't worry, Jaskier, from the way Cara was eyeing both you and the lake, your life was going to be stressful enough very soon. "It's a terrible week," she said, punctuating with a sneeze. "So we're all going to cool off a bit."

"Or," Jaskier said quickly, sensing the danger in the situation and incorrectly thinking he could talk his way out of it. "Or.... we could have some lovely hot cocoa and not--"

Was Cara trying to push Jaskier into the cold lake? Yes, yes she was. Nothing said 'education' quite like a cold, wet bard.

Please just ignore his sputtering for now, kids.

"Oh, no," Cara said dryly. "Whatever shall we do?"
