The usual tavern had scantron sheets and number 2 pencils placed on all the tables. Much to the confusion of the NPCs scattered around.

"It's the last class of the year and it's time for the final exam. Standardized testing style," Magnus announced. "No one puke."

"For some reason, the school thinks this is the best way to measure what we've taught you." Because that's how you tested punching.

Wasn't it, though? Wasn't it?

"We even got the scanners here to immediately get your results," Magnus added. "Unless..."

Oh, where had these baseball bats come from? It was a mystery. "Can't take the test if the scanners are broken."

"Be a shame if something happened to them..." If anyone expected a normal final, clearly they didn't know Magnus and Cara.

"We'd have to find an alternate final." A more violent one.

Magnus waggled his eyebrows like that would help the class figure out just what they should be doing here.

In case that was too subtle for the class, Cara picked up a bat and causally swung at one of the scanners

"Welcome to the final class," Liam said, once everyone had arrived. "I know this semester hasn't exactly been what anyone expected, but I hope you all- well, I don't know if 'learned something' is exactly right. 'Experienced something new' I guess?"

"I sure as hell did," Verity said, newly transformed back into a person. "Like that the Danger Shop is somehow sentient and evil and I can turn into rodents at the island's whims. Good times."

She’d made such a cute flying squirrel! But Liam was absolutely glad she was back to her regular self.

"The plan today is dodgeball," Liam explained. "Which, if you've never played, is fairly simple: there's two teams, and you throw balls from your side of the playing field to the other. If you get hit, you're out. I'm not sure what the Danger Shop is going to turn that into, of course. But I guess we'll see."

"Maybe some kind of weird SCUBA simulation or something," Verity piped up. "Honestly, at this point, we don't even know and it's the last class before Christmas, so we're pretty sure none of you are worried about it, either. If nothing else, this class has helped you refine your ability to roll with the punches. Always a good life skill."
