Kanan didn't look much more on the level today when he had the class congregate on the school's lawn than he had sounded on the radio. He still had a Bad Feeling chewing away at his head, but aside from the slightly shifted skyline across the causeway, all signs pointed to normal out there today.

So he was splitting the difference and just sticking close to the school, no need to make their way all the way to the park when they could just retreat inside if... he didn't know... giant worms came bursting out of the ground to devour them all or something?

"Everyone is special," he said, standing there with the book in his hand. He'd had to read it over a few times in order to really get much of anything out of this chapter, not because it didn't say anything, but more because it had said rather a lot, and his attention kept wanting to drift outward, looking for something wrong. "That is, everybody has something that they do, something they're good at, maybe, that means that they have a place in the F-" A beat. "The universe. A... role to play or a destiny to find, maybe." Another beat. He sounded every inch a faintly distracted Jedi in that moment, and that wasn't what this class was supposed to be about. And so he sighed, shook his head, and tried again. "There's a term in Taoism, Tz'u, which can be translated to caring, or compassion. There's a saying to go with it, 'from caring comes courage.'"

Okay, deep breath. He could get through this lecture, and then maybe try to find time today to meditate somewhere. Sort all this out.

"Basically, one can boil this lesson down today to, 'follow your heart.' Don't simply trust conventional knowledge, trust your own wisdom. Cleverness can solve a good many things, but only if you understand properly when and where and how to apply it. Your instincts, your feelings and emotions, have more to offer you than you might give them credit for."

Yeah, he said it. Even the would-be Jedi threw 'emotions' into the mix. So there.

There was a pause, and then, mildly belatedly, Kanan added, "So, this is our last class. Things have been a little rocky, but we've managed to somehow get from there to here, talking about going with the flow and trusting yourself and understanding where it is you belong in the universe as it stands. Some of you," poor Sabine, "probably wondered why you were even taking this class. That's fine, too. Not everybody is made for sitting around, waiting for the answers to come to them." A pause. "That said, we're going to meditate, today. Take a seat on the grass, close your eyes, and if you're inclined to meditation already, do your thing. If you aren't, if clearing your mind and reaching out for answers isn't something you really do, then just sit and contemplate. Contemplate where the island's been so far, and what that's meant to you. Contemplate where you've been so far, and what that's meant for the island. If you'd find it easier still, feel free to pair off or have quiet discussions about both. Not all reflection needs to be done in the silence, alone."

"Welcome back," Hannibal said to the students once they arrived in the Danger Shop. "Today is our last day, and that means our final. Ordinarily we would have been working on this throughout the term, and I would require that you cook it yourself. However, the island's whims being what they are..." He spread his hands.

"So, for your final today, use this room's abilities to help you create a food with special meaning to you. Serve it to the rest of us, and explain it - what makes this food special, what gives it its meaning, what the flavors are, and what setting you would choose for it. Tell us all about it."

"Last class," Jack called cheerfully, "Everyone's had a turn being captain but Owen. Which means by process of elimination, he's up. You've also walked past, pushed out of the way, jumped over, removed from existence, and turned into Chocobos the confidence course. I'm curious what you little s.. scamps.. will come up with this week. And lemme say I'm proud of you for the creative way you've worked together to avoid something none of you seem to want to do."

She shrugged, "My original plan for the day was an escape room but since the island seems hellbent on turning the whole d..arn place into one giant escape room every friggin' week, we're gonna do something else." A nod toward the very large stack of boards. "This is an Earth game called 'Jenga'. The goal is to remove boards from the stack without having the stack collapse." Jack gave the entire class a raised eyebrow look. "Without using any powers or other abilities. Just your very own hands - the ones that grow attached to your arms. If you have hands in other places, those are out too."

She eyed the tower, "There's a twist. Once you've touched a board, that's the one you have to pull. On each of the boards is a dare. You won't be able to read it until you pull the board. If you're unable or unwilling to perform the dare, your captain is responsible for either performing the dare himself or getting the board back into the stack without knocking it over or collapsing it. If there's an item to go with the dare, it'll appear when you read the dare."

Another shrug, "If you have questions, ask."

Today was actually looking normal, so class was going to be outside today, in the park. There were several targets set up in the area, and Aeryn was holding… a frisbee.

"Today we're going to play disc golf," she began. "It's like golf, which is incredibly boring, but this is with wildly unpredictable discs that you throw."

"Even if they don't explode," Anakin said, "which would make this so much more fun."

Anakin, no.

"This is an individual sport," he continued, "so if you stink at throwing things, you only have yourself to blame and the wind that no one else is bothered by but you."

"You have a course to follow," Aeryn continued. "You throw a disc at a goal, and the fewer tries it takes for you to get it, the better you do. You want a low score. You get a goal, you move on, and leave everyone behind you to keep trying."

"If you throw a frisbee into a tree, we will very definitely laugh at you," Anakin said. "One person will play at a time and you cannot throw your frisbees at other people's heads for some reason." It would be so much more fun that way! "You have six targets to hit so that we aren't here all day."

"Good luck. I don't expect this to go well," said Aeryn, so feel good about that, class.
