"Since next week is spring break," said Rosa, not bothering with things like greetings or whatever, because she was sure they all had more important things they'd rather be doing, "I'm not going to bother wasting time teaching you guys new steps that you'll probably just forget about by the time we're back. So enjoy your movie day."

Which was great, right? It made sense, especially since the class was overall unfamiliar with ballet as an art form anyway. It would make sense to spend a class watching one of the many versions of The Nutcracker to get an idea of a full performance. Or a classic Giselle or Romeo and Juliet. Maybe they'd be watching one of the fairy tale ones, Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty?

Nope.

This was, after all, a woman who, when approached to help show a group of kids visiting the precinct on a field trip, decided that the best course of action was to show them the bag of hands in the evidence lock-up. So....

Whatever. Movie day!

"Shows we binge watch don't always have to be sitcoms," Wade said. "Sometimes you want to learn about real people being stupid as opposed to fake people being stupid."

"And sometimes you want to judge other people's choices, hardcore," Vanessa said. "And rubberneck other areas' real estate! For those times, there's--" She did jazz hands. "House Hunters!"

"Ooo, I hope this one has that basement sex dungeon everyone's talking about!" Wade said.

"Remember, kids, you can only pick three criteria and a budget when buying a home, and it is impossible for any one house to fulfill all three of those critieria and be in budget. So if a basement sex dungeon is really important to you, you have to decide whether you also really want curb appeal and granite countertops, or if you can maybe go over budget because I guess mortgages are just suggestions."

"Watch as realtors slowly die on the inside as people ask for dumb shit that isn't in their budget." Wade stopped to think it over. "Babe, can we go on this show next?"

Vanessa's eyes lit up. "You have the best ideas, babe. Does anybody have any questions? No? Let's hunt some houses!"

Anakin ushered the students into a bland conference room. "Today you will be negotiating for peace with an alien species," he said. "They have brought you here," he gestured around at the table, chairs, water glasses, and whiteboard against the wall, "to plead their case as to why they had no choice but to blocade another planet's trading routes."

He rolled his eyes. "There will be a powerpoint presentation about it. Nothing I can do to save you. So...sit down and prepare not to fall asleep in public. They'd take that badly."
