Hardison was pretty sure that today's class was going to come as no surprise to anyone. Why should it? C'mon, this was an arts and crafts class. And it was Valentine's Day. There was exactly one acceptable crafting activity today.

"Hey class," he said, standing in front of a table with pretty much every moddable cheap arts and crafts component known to humanity, including all the materials from their previous classes. "Today, you're makin' Valentines. Gotta make at least one, but feel free to make more if you want. Hell, give 'em to the janitorial staff an' the lunch ladies if you can't think of anyone you wanna give a Valentine to. Or your favorite delivery person. Also, if you brought your seal an' wax from last week, you can seal 'em all for that very personal touch."

Was he highly entertained?

You guys! Summer brought chocolates!

Like, a lot of chocolates.

SO many chocolates.

"Hey, everyone," she said as the class got settled. "Some of you may have noticed, today is an Earth holiday. Yes, another one. We like our holidays here. And this particular one, like most Earth holidays, is about one thing that eventually got blown up into some over-elaborate worship to capitalism and materialism. It's Valentine's Day, a holiday about showing the people you love, especially romantically, that you care about them, that has been totally usurped by companies in an effort to sell you chocolates and greeting cards, flowers and stuffed animals and jewelry. Which is why I brought you all chocolates today. Because I still have a literal butt-ton of these in stock at the store and they're all going on super-sale tomorrow anyway, so I figured you guys might like a chance to snag some."

So today is the romance holiday," Magnus began. "And maybe you're just not in the right place for that."

Cara sneezed. She hated this holiday.

"You know, physically or emotionally," he continued, holding out a box of tissues for her. "So, we thought a bar fight sounded like a nice distraction. But then went with a nice evening out with friends. For Palentine's Day."

There was a slight pause before Magnus added, "with optional bar fight."

"Make sure to punch the flowers," Cara added after blowing her nose. "They're evil."

"I'm never introducing Merle to you," Magnus decided.

Cara sneezed. Again. Haaaaaaate.
