"Uh, hey guys," Zack said, looking a little bemused as he stood at the front of the room with a small fleet of polar bears flanking him. "So... today is our final, I guess? But there were bears outside, so none of the animals from the shelter wanted to go out, and I wasn't going to stress any of them by forcing it. But these guys," he paused to accept a bottle of Coke that was graciously offered by one of the bears, "seem friendly enough..."

Another one offered him a bottle from the other side, so now he had one in either hand and was kind of blinking at them.

"... They're friendly enough," he continued, trying to remember where he'd left off. "So, uh... polar bears? Biggest bears on the planet, they live far up north and, um." He was now attempting to hold three open bottles in his hands withot spilling. "They're perfectly adapted for cold weather. They're not at all a domesticated species, but these ones seem to..." Hooboy, he was up to four and grimacing a little. "... to at least be a little... tame, maybe?"

The bears that were up front with him looked amused. Oh, they knew exactly what they were doing up there, the big, playful, carnivorous scamps.

"So... come and get to know them. And maybe take a Coke? Please take a Coke."

And here came number five.

“Hey, we’re working with a classic for the final,” Miguel said cheerfully. He was holding a Coke in each hand, and his hair was a bit mussed. “We’re going to build a body from parts, then try to animate it with electricity.” That was totally fun, right?

He set down the bottles and keyed up a very clean lab. It flickered for a second, then settled into a Victorian attic. He scowled and hit the controls, but it stayed put. Miguel sighed. “Okay, fine. We’ve got electricity,” if you couldn’t tell from the storm raging outside the windows, “and we’ve got bodies.” He waved to a few tables. “There are ones already put together if you’re squeamish. Otherwise, there are parts over there.” In that walk-in fridge that was somehow inexplicably still there in a corner of the wooden attic.

“Go to town.”

Class was meeting in the Danger Shop, which looked an awful lot like an office. Complete with cubicles. "The pen is mightier than the sword," Cara read dubiously off a sheet. "Yeah, right."

"I mean. If that pen has some really good stats or is magic maybe?" Magnus ventured, really putting the thought into this.

"Or is stupidly large." Because yes, there were giant novelty pens lined up against the wall like spears. Any time the class wanted to get a bad feeling about this, feel free to start there.

At least they might be made of soft foam.

"Pen fight!" Magnus said, raising his fists over his head like this was an 80s movie and he was instigating a food fight.

There was the ominous sound of papers shuffling. And if you didn't think papers shuffling was ominous, you really hadn't been in this class long enough. But then again, who didn't want to fight some life-size origami monsters? People who weren't in this class maybe.

"We had a great class and are really proud of all of you!" Magnus added super fast as the paper monster advanced on the students.

"You were acceptable." She was totally proud of you too.
