"Last class," Kanan said, smiling faintly as he leaned back against the desk at the front of the classroom. "And like we said last week, we're going to pick up where we started, with Fandom Island starter packages for new students. Hope you spent the week considering what you'd put into these."

"Because of some earlier suggestions," Hera said, "we've got local audio recorders you can use if you want to, along with players to play things back. If you've got a line on cheap holoplayers, let us know, but otherwise we're skipping those. We've also done our best to get some of everything you suggested last week."

She waved at the front of the class. "We've got a bunch of different bags you can use to pack your kits in. Just pick the things you think would be most useful, pick a bag, and pack it up. Talk with each other or us as much as you like - anybody with good ideas, we definitely want you to share them!"

"If there's anything you'd like to put into these that we don't have here," Kanan added, "let us know. We can make a run to T&C to stock up, if need be."

"Except for spacer's tape, for some reason," Hera interrupted.

"Can't win 'em all," Kanan replied with a shrug. "Otherwise, we have... maps, we could probably do with a list of important businesses in town or something pointing out the safe places on them..."

Lots of things, really.

"Get creative. And get to it. Feel free to take them with you to hand out at the welcome picnic before next semester."

"And thank you all for helping out in this class," Hera said, smiling at them. "You've all made a difference in a lot of lives this semester, and I'm sure we're not the only ones appreciating it."

Mitsutada had prepared an intensive exam for all of his students, wanting to make sure academic rigor hadn't fallen apart just because he'd missed a few classes.

"I will write your exam questions on this white board, and you will write your ans..."

He paused, unable to find a marker to write on the board. He heard a noise under a nearby desk and bent down. There was a gremlin, clutching onto all the markers.

"You can't just take what's not yours, silly," Mitsutada admonished with little smile. And then he reached out a gloved finger to boop it on the nose. As the soul of a weapon about to strike someone, something very unexpected to Mitsutada happened in that moment.

He turned into a Christmas tree.

Apparently everyone was getting an A on this exam, since now he can't give it.

[ooc: Class is in session! ...kinda.]

"Well, we're at the end of the year," Steve said, "and so hopefully you've learned more about the American system of government than you did in August."

"And how strange the system is slash has become over time," Tony added. "Especially in recent years."

"And most importantly, that you have rights, duties, and responsibilities to hold those in power accountable to those who put them there--the voters, not the donors," Steve said vehemently.

Tony nodded in firm agreement. "They win when you remain apathetic to the process."

Oh, so it was inspirational speech time.

Well. Superheroes.

"They wouldn't work so hard to keep you from voting if it wasn't so very important that you did so," Steve said. "So today's exam is for your grade, but what we really want you to take away from this class is a lifelong engagement with the government. Because when no one's watching them, they do stupid, ugly, tragically misguided things."

"These past two years being the case in point." They'd never stop ranting about it, though.

Neeeeever.

"Good luck on your exam, and have a good break," Steve said with a smile. "We'll see you next year."
