Kitty had come very close to just canceling class today, but if anyone showed up, maybe they'd want a distraction. Of course, considering the weekend and what had been following her the whole time, she also wasn't going anywhere near the Danger Shop, so. Regular classroom today.

"So this weekend was terrible, and sometimes we're allowed to not work so hard," Kitty greeted them. "So let's watch Space Battles and go with that."

With that, she turned on the movie.

"The queue," Vanessa said to the class. "Not just a fancy French way to spell the letter, or a confusingly British word for 'line.' No, the queue, and the things you randomly add to it while you're drunk, are essential to your Netflix experience. So let's talk about managing your queue."

"You do it to pretend you're organized in life," Wade added. "Or to make people think your taste is better than it actually is. So, you add in some smart documentaries that you're never gonna watch. Or whatever the hit show of the month is. Who knows?"

"Remember, you never have to actually watch this stuff. I mean, you could, but probably not," Vanessa said frankly. "So just pick some stuff that makes you look like a cooler, smarter version of yourself. It's foolproof!"

Wade held out a hand for her to high-five. Because they totally used that trick all the time.

Vanessa gave him a no-look high five, then told the class, "So, go on, add some stuff to your queue. Tell us what you picked, and why it makes you look cool and or smart."

They were clearly the best teachers around.

"Extra points if you pick something in a different language," Wade added. "Or anything British!"

Anakin was still picking confetti out of his hair (after five showers, dammit, fish) when the class arrived. "Right. We're not talking about the weekend," he said flatly. "Instead we're going to fly starships really fast and blow things up."

SO HEALTHY.

"I've provided sims for both X-Wings and TIE fighters, which have their pros and cons." Like no shields on the TIEs, but he'd let them discover that for themselves. "Have fun."

He certainly planned on some therapy through fake explosions.

Class today was to meet in the Danger Shop. When they arrived, the place was set up to resemble a soothingly lit living room, with cushions and chairs and beanbags everywhere.

"I very much doubt some of you are in the mood for much exertion today, so - enjoy a less strenuous form of magic."

He gestured toward the middle of the room, where there were large and small bubbles of light. "Swirl these, bat them around, look into them - they're like floating kaleidoscopes." Or lava lamps, but none of Bob's owners had been so plebeian as to have one of those. "Enjoy."

So the weekend's adventure had been pretty low-key for Tip, at least. She'd even managed to net a shout-out from her sword teacher on the radio. She was feeling pretty good about herself, to say the least, though she tried not to show it too much, since it sounded like for other people it had been a whole lot worse.

Which the books apparently took as "I had a terrible weekend too", or possibly they were just preparing to help any patrons who came in? Either way, the books were out in force, ranging from Complex PSTD and You and Coping for Dummies to the weirdly specific So you've been haunted by the sins of your past (and now all your friends know what they are). Tip decided it'd be best to just sit back and let the books arrange themselves into a display. They were self-help books, after all.
