Bond had emailed his students to meet him at the edge of the preserve, where he stood with sets of various paintball gear. As each student arrived he handed them a blue or yellow bandanna.

"Good morning," he greeted them. "I thought we'd go for a relatively low key final, since it's hardly like you're being marked on this. So we're going to have a spot of two-on-two paintball."

After explaining how the paintball guns and safety gear worked for the benefit of those who hadn't paintballed before, Bond gestured to the preserve. "I've marked off an area of the preserve, Team Blue goes in, and five minutes later Team Yellow follows them. Winner is the team that ends up with less paint on them."

"The Team Blue's time starts as soon as they've finished gearing up."

"You all survived your summer session," Ghanima said as the students arrived.  "You have my congradulations and my sympathies.  Today, class, we journey back to the Classical era, to visit the land of myth that many of you from this planet are perhaps most familiar with.  Today, we meet the Greeks."

"Greek mythology is the body of stories belonging to the Ancient Greeks concerning their gods and heroes, the nature of the world and the origins and significance of their own cult and ritual practices. Modern scholars refer to the myths and study them in an attempt to throw light on the religious and political institutions of Ancient Greece and on the Ancient Greek civilization, and to gain understanding of the nature of myth-making itself."

"I'd like you to discuss whether or not Orestes can be held accountable for his actions.  This is the first ever recorded case of 'extenuating circumstances', and the Gods play a large role.  Under orders, or under a curse?  Does it even matter?  You decide."

"Congratulations on making it through the summer," Wash said, slightly annoyed that it warranted that. But. You know. Aliens. "This is our last class until of the semester and I'd like to hear if you've learned something that doesn't involve conspiracy theories involving yourself."

Face. And Johnny. And Lottie a little. Okay, pretty much everyone.

"Hopefully whst youve learned is about taking these things with a grain of salt until more plausible facts come into play. We will discuss that rather than have a final lecture. Though we do have time for one last student presentation if Jasper would like."

This is what happens when a class is cancelled and messes everything up.

Today, class was being held back in Jones' office. As usual, there was an assortment of breakfast goods and tea.

"Those of you who may be from Earth may be familiar with a certain nursery rhyme. Specifically Ring-Around-The-Rosie," Jones began. "Today children recite it while holding hands in a circle before pretending to fall to the ground. The nursery rhyme has a rather grim origination of which you may not be aware."

"I'm speaking of an event in human history known as the Black Death. It was a disease which killed millions of people throughout Asia, Europe and Africa in a mere seven year span. Death tolls have been widely differed, but some counts go as high as 200 million people. The disease was carried by fleas which infected users. Widespread trade routes carried this disease far and wide eliminating a vast amount of humanity. To combat this disease, houses, ships and corpses were burned. A vaccine for this disease wouldn't come to fruition until hundreds of years later. If this had happened at another time in human development, it may have very well been an extinction event much like the dinosaurs before you."

Jones then turned on a monitor to play the very familiar nursery rhyme. "The first like of the nursery rhyme refers to the rash infected people would receive. It would form a circle with something resembling a flower in the center. The reference to a pocketful of posies refers to the flowers people would carry in their pocket in order to hide the smell of dead bodies which were often left on the street. References to ashes and falling down refer to houses, ships and others which were burned to prevent the outbreak from spreading and the eventual destruction of small towns and cities due to the disease."

Jones turned off the monitor before continuing. "Over the centuries the simple rhyme is now a cheerful game for children to play. As part of our exercise today, I would like to you to share a story or item from the present day which has it's roots in history that one might not be aware of."

"Man, it is hot today, right?" Brian asked as he ambled into the Danger Shop, carrying a cooler, once all his students had arrived. The Shop had, of course, already been set up as Miami, with appropriate mid-August weather. "Well, good news." He hefted the cooler. "I've got ice cream. Bad news, I'm the only one who can open the cooler, and I'm not going to do that until the ice cream arrives at its destination: my buddy Tej's place. You've been there before, but just in case, the address is programmed into your cars' GPS.

"I'm not taking this ice cream to Tej's. You are. That's your entire assignment. One of you gets there with the ice cream, you all win and get to come eat ice cream. But there's a catch!" Wasn't there always? "The cops are after you guys," Brian said solemnly. "They want that ice cream. They want it bad. And they'll stop at nothing to get it. Roadblocks, helicopters, you name it. So you need to work together and come up with a plan to get that ice cream through. You each have a walkie talkie in your car, tuned to the same frequency, so if you need to change your plan on the go, you can. Oh, and one more thing. I think it's time we kicked it up a notch, don't you?" He pushed a button on the remote, and the line of Eclipses was replaced by six identical Bugatti Veyrons. Oh, God. They were so beautiful. Brian might cry.

"And that's it. I'll see you at Tej's. Good luck."
