"Once more, and welcome," Ghanima said as people arrived today. Students would find the Danger Shop set up as gymnasium, but with interlocking colored circles outlined on the floor. "Today, we study Capoeira."

"Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics, and music, and is sometimes referred to as a game by the practitioners. It was developed in Brazil mainly by African descendants with native Brazilian influences, probably beginning in the 16th century. It is known for quick and complex moves, using mainly power, speed, and leverage for a wide variety of kicks, spins, and highly mobile techniques."

Capoeira is a game, it is dance, it is fight, it is of war and it is of peace, it is of culture, of music, it is a portion of things. — Mestre Suassuna )

"Today, we're going to learn just a few basic moves," Ghanima said, walking over to the sound system and hitting play so that capoeira music filled the air. "So do whatever warm-up you do to get moving, and we'll dance."

There was only one robed figure standing before them today; a vaguely paranoid-looking one that kept checking the Danger Shop door. (Just in case Master Rand had any ideas about co-opting his class again like he had last semester.)

When no second figure appeared to make his entrance, he turned back to the class.

"Since this is a summer class, we will not have a regular exam," he said. "What I want you to do today is pick the weapon that fit you best in these past few weeks, and fight your way to the end of this course."

He made a single gesture with his hand, and behind him, the Danger Shop flickered to life. Featureless enemies made of golden light sprang to life behind him. Each student would draw in three as they attempted to make it to the other side of the course, where another door was visible, but he did not explain this.

Then he gestured in front of him, where an assortment of knives, staves, battle-axes and swords laid spread out across the table. "Pick your weapon. You may not switch after you begin, so choose wisely. May the Force be with you."

Today, the teacher was flustered when everyone filtered on into the danger shop. Well, as flustered as someone in a suit of armor that covered them entirely could. Which is to say he didn't actually look flustered at all.

But it was there.

"Last week's movie wasn't exactly what I planned, but I guess it works nonetheless," Washington said once laps were completed and people were properly outfitted and armed. "Today I want to see everyone work solo. There won't be any teams other than ones you come up with. Today is a free for all fight to see who is left standing. "

Didn't that negate the whole point of teamwork? Don't answer that.

He was from Project Freelancer. The land of awful teamwork.

"Get to it."
