"Welcome to your final," Hardison said. "I never got an actual report from y'all, but just listenin' to you talk made it sound like y'all were plannin' to take the fight to those things out there. Unfortunately, you're all hungry an' pretty slow, so to represent that, I'm speedin' the monsters up a bit. They're stronger'n you an' now faster'n you by a decent clip, but you're still smarter'n them, so hopefully that'll be enough to turn the tide."

What the class didn't know was that Hardison had set up a timer for the sim; if they didn't head out and start their own attack by halfway through the class period, the monsters were going to attack the dorms. Surprise! But, hey, sometimes people needed a little kick or else they'd spend all their time planning and never get around to doing.

There was a turtle.

Just . . . an ordinary turtle, minding its own business and not bothering anyone (or trying to chew on books, that was a relief), meandering around the library.

Cosette was watching it with fascination, and occasionally getting up to check on its progress; it didn't seem to have any kind of destination in mind, and for some reason seemed to only travel in straight lines and turn at precise angles. That seemed a bit silly to her, but the turtle seemed happy, and that was reason enough to leave it to its own devices.

She was fairly sure that if you could trace its path, it was well on its way to creating some kind of elaborate design by now.

[OOC: No OCD, open. I was always awful with LOGO.]

"I'd like to congratulate yo all on making it this far, I feel like I could turn most of you out in the wild and you could get from point A to point B without killing anyone," Brian said wryly. Thorin went unsaid.

"As this is our last class together, we're going to do something just a little bit different." Brian pushed a button on his remote and three more rows of cars appeared behind the usual ones, identical to them in every respect. "A new route has been programmed into your GPS, and, rather than sending you back to the start, a crash will cosmetically damage your car but leave it in drivable condition. It's up to you to get it out from around that lamppost or back on four wheels, though. Hope you figure out passing quickly. Ladies and gentlemen, to your cars."
