"Welcome to your final," Karla said once all of her students were assembled in the Danger Shop, which was set up to look like an industrial-size kitchen. Out the back door was a garden filled with various plants, some presumably the ones that they'd studied over the semester, though nothing was marked. A beehive hummed nearby. "All you have to do is make one dish that skillfully hides whatever poison you include in it. The dish can be as simple or complex as you'd like to make it, anything from a poisoned beverage to a sumptuous meal, but it has to be appealing and the poison hard to detect. When you've finished, present the dish, and explain your choices. Once you've done so, you may leave."

Karla sat down at the head of the table, folded her hands, and smiled. "You may begin."

To say Cosette wasn't at least a little sad about being done with classes for the semester would be to deny her propensity for being a massive nerd. Yes, this was the explanation for the stack of science you monster books she'd set aside for herself to read at the circulation desk today (though if anyone needed to use one of them or check one out she'd willingly part with it).

There was also the small matter of the faint but distinct, and definitely mysterious, meatball smell that occasionally wafted out of the stacks.

In between that and her pile of books, she had plenty to keep herself occupied today.

. . . she was going to be hungry all day, though.

[OOC: No OCD for you today. Mwahaha.]

Upon entering the Danger Shop, the students would find themselves confronted with a long brick hallway, at the end of which was a door, in front of which stood one solitary guard. Leaning against the brick wall a little closer by was a casual-looking (if slightly hungover and supporting a few scratches in the facial area) Atton.

"So, this is your final," he said. "Get past this guy, then deal with whatever comes next. You can use whatever tools you have at your disposal: fight, talk, stealth your way through, I don't care. Just make it out to the other side, and you're good."

He nodded at the class. "Go."

As Jones had promised, the final class would be the presentation of the student's research over the course of the semester. She had arranged access to the auditorium in case any of the student's friends or teachers wished to attend.

"Hey gang," Josh said, passing out exam packets. "It's been real. Won't say real what because we're in a class about bullshitting and I'm sure you're all finishing the joke in your head anyway. Here's your exam, good luck to those graduating or running from the law or whatever other reasons you might have for fleeing this island. Everyone else, I'll see in the fall."

With that he sat back down at his desk and starting working on a crossword puzzle.
