All the students in the class were getting e-mail that morning:

From: Dr. Hannibal Lecter
Subject: Today's class
Importance: High

Due to the increasingly lethal population of the island, class today will be optional, and held in the gourmet suite of the Arms Hotel. If you choose not to attend, it will not affect your grade; should you choose to show, you will obtain extra credit and be given the opportunity to taste dinosaur meat.

Hannibal wasn't going anywhere today, but if you wanted to, he would feed you.

Billy had a good time getting to the library today - he may have taken an extra long walk through town to see what was outside, and discovered how satisfying electricity vs. zombies could be - but once he got inside, he focused on getting things set up for anyone who might want to come by to continue with researching. There was cocoa and coffee for anyone who promised not to get them on any books!

Today, when students came into class -- assuming they were foolhardy or in need of distraction from the island enough to do so -- they would find...something different waiting for them.

Even more different than the last couple of weeks. Really.

(What? Oh, yeah, these two are AU’d. Behold, Pam the nun and the Cheryl, the Queen of Mars. BTW, the fact that there are two ongoing class topics is … actually just because they’re not paying the least bit of attention to one another.)

If or why anybody was actually insane enough to come to class today was really anyone's best guess. The island was pretty much bending over backwards now in its attempt to kill everybody living on it. There were zombies falling into lava pits and half-monkey-half-pony monsters galloping majestically through ancient ruins with mummies riding on their backs and really, Jonothon had pretty much made up his mind that anyone who showed up for class today was going to just automatically fail the course.

Class? Ish? )
