The first thing Bond's students would have noticed on entering the Danger Shop was that it bore a remarkable resemblance to a dance studio, complete with waxed hardwood floors and mirrors along the walls.

Well, that or the incredibly tight tights that Jimmy Bond, former lead dancer of the Royal Ballet and current modern dance teacher was wearing. Even odds.

"Okay then," he chirped at them once they'd finished arriving. "Now last week we finally got that choreography down, so this week once we've done our warm-ups we're going to launch straight into things and do a run through of the entire piece, start to finish, no breaks, and see how it goes. Ready?"

He didn't bother waiting for a reply before starting the warm-up music. "And remember your spirit fingers! They're ironic, but you must be sincere for the irony to work."

Do you know what this class had been missing last week? C'mon, take a guess. Just one. No, those are all terrible. It was glitter. The class was missing glitter.

Well, this week they were making up for it.

And how.

You cannot fathom the depth of Pinkie's tormented excitement to be in this class, today. She was torn -- torn -- between absolute delight and deep, abiding worry. Her conflict meant that her princess unicorn horn -- remember her horn? Yeah, she still has that -- was spewing out a constant mist of glitter.

That's right, the very air was glitter. Don't worry, asthmatics, it's magic glitter.

"Hi, everyone," Derek said, smiling wide at the class. "Today we're going to learn about decorating cakes!"

Wasn't that exciting? Wasn't it?

It superduper was. Also, worrying. Friendship isn't just sunshine and puppies, ladies and gentlemen. It's also noticing that some people were gloomy by nature and when they suddenly weren't, it miiiiiiiiiight mean that something was wrong.

Which would be why Pinkie was dancing in place, eyeing her coteacher suspciously.

It was drugs, right? Pinkie had heard of drugs. There were lots of pee-ess-ays on the television about them.

"Yup, yup, yup!" she said. "Cake-a-decorating-ing! We have pipettes and rosettes and food dye! -Ettes! And no drugs. Nooooooo drugs of any kind."

Derek.

Derek was giving her a funny look right on back for that, but soldiered on for his class. Whom he loved and thought the best of. "And don't worry about making a mess or it not turning out perfect," he added. "Everyone has to start from somewhere, after all. Who knows, you might turn out to be great with enough practice!"

Oh god, he was like a walking motivational poster. With 'Soar' as the caption.

Definitely drugs. Pinkie was already planning the intervention.

Sholeh and Zeela had started a small ritual. Whenever one woke up, they would immediately confer with the other about small things. Little details chosen at random. If they agreed on what they remembered, they'd escaped whatever the latest bout of...Fandom...ness...that was currently...Fandoming. If they didn't agree, they promised not to waste time trying to figure out which one of them was 'right.' It hadn't happened yet, but it comforted Sholeh to have a plan.

Along that same vein, she was still setting out books for any researchers that decided to wander through. This week, she pulled out books about memory, memory spells and charms, and amnesia. That wasn't the same thing as whatever was happening, with people actually changing who they were (Sholeh and Zeela both agreed that Cecil hadn't been an adult when he'd started school and certainly didn't have tentacles!), but it was somewhere to start.

After receiving an email from Dr. McCoy, Mercy stopped by to stick up a notice on the classroom door.

"Class cancelled due to unforseen circumstances. Sorry."

More time to work on her wedding plans!
