"So for today's assignment, I'm going to let you guys leave early, I want you to go back to your rooms, and I want you to log on and see what you can find on any single subject that interested you, and consider that as little as two decades ago, you mightn't have been able to do that."

Billy hated this week less than usual when the island went sex-crazy, thanks to Topher, but it was still weird to spend so much less time being capable of thinking straight. He was trying to text Tommy to suggest he come and visit another time, but there was no way to do it without sounding suspicious. If he warned Tommy about what was happening, he might never get his brother to leave.

Between texts, Billy was reading fanfic on the computer, because anything academic was just not going to stick in his brain right now. At least he could keep himself quietly entertained, right?

Cultural Exploration [Friday, 2nd Period]

Clint had been crossing his fingers that going through a portal into a different country would make the Fandom weird go away, but no, they just couldn't be that lucky, could they? He'd given the students a handwavey warning to dress warmly, and he was really glad for that plan now.

"Welcome to Nuuk, Greenland," he said once everyone made it through the portal. Hopefully, they'd all seen his message and prepared for low 40's weather. "Nuuk is the capital of Greenland, and therefore one of the most green places in this very icy country. Greenland is technically part of Denmark, but Denmark is nice and lets them do their own thing, probably because no one from Denmark wants to come up here and run the place." Clint's previous time in Greenland had involved a lot of ice, in case that wasn't obvious. "Even though it's a little cold, it's still beautiful here, but I also don't want to take up a ton of your time since I know you've got parents and relatives and all that to deal with today. So, we're going to do some whale watching, and have some time to cool off." Both literally and figuratively.

Criminal Justice, Friday, Period 1

The Danger Shop was a darkened alley today. It was too dark to see any detail if you looked around, but that would be fixed very soon.

Batman stood in front of the class in full costume, cape draped over his body as usual, showing no signs of being affected by anything in the air at all.

"When someone is killed, several levels of law enforcement become involved," Batman started, and yes, you were in a darkened alley when Batman was talking about people being killed. If you were good detectives, you could probably already figure out that you were going to see a simulated corpse. If you were a bad detective, you might think Batman was about to kill you. But come on, he doesn't kill, guys.

"Today, we're gonna be talking about where astronomy comes from," Kaidan said, "And we're going to look at some of the astronomical models we've been using for a long time."

Nice, mathematic models. Nothing that could in any way be misconstrued as dirty.
