Clint had been crossing his fingers that going through a portal into a different country would make the Fandom weird go away, but no, they just couldn't be that lucky, could they? He'd given the students a ~~handwavey~~ warning to dress warmly, and he was really glad for that plan now.

"Welcome to Nuuk, Greenland," he said once everyone made it through the portal. Hopefully, they'd all seen his message and prepared for low 40's weather. "Nuuk is the capital of Greenland, and therefore one of the most green places in this very icy country. Greenland is technically part of Denmark, but Denmark is nice and lets them do their own thing, probably because no one from Denmark wants to come up here and run the place." Clint's previous time in Greenland had involved a lot of ice, in case that wasn't obvious. "Even though it's a little cold, it's still beautiful here, but I also don't want to take up a ton of your time since I know you've got parents and relatives and all that to deal with today. So, we're going to do some whale watching, and have some time to cool off." Both literally and figuratively.

There was a place for everyone to sit and watch for humpback, minke and fin whales while eating the local fare, which was mostly burgers and fries but with caribou and whale meat.

Okay yeah, it was a little like going to Sea World and eating fish sticks but shhh, culture!

It'd been a damn fine night for him but that didn't mean he wanted to sit out in the cold and watch whales. Even with the good night, he was still all twitchy and now he was cold.

He concentrated on the whales and hoped the cold might dull his senses or something.

Maddie was totally fine with watching some whales, since that seemed nice and calm, but she was also totally annoyed that she was spending about equal time still checking everybody out.

Ugh, no, whales. Concentrate on whales.

Mercy was totally captivated by the whales. Food? She could eat back in Fandom!

Goose was going to be glad once this week was over. He focused on watching the whales, which actually helped him concentrate on something other than what was going on back at Fandom.

Before or after class!

Oh how I wish I knew a billion languages and could travel to foreign countries.
