Unlike last week, there were actual pots of coffee and cups set out for the students, Oz liked to keep people on their toes like that.

"Morning, all. first thing, the lovely Miss Thorne is my new minion." Oz didn't even try to pretend he meant assistant. "It's her responsibility to get the coffee and donuts from now on." There were no donuts this morning. Your toes, people, stay on them.

"Second thing, assignments. Rather focus on pop-quizzes," which meant that Oz was totally going to spring an end-of-semester test on them at the last moment, "You're all going to do a two-part assignment over the course of this semester. The first part of which is due at the start of class the week preceding Spring Break, and the second I'll get to later in the semester."

Improving Your Skills [Friday, 3rd Period]

Clint had left a handwavey note to get everyone to come to the computer lab today, and was only halfway spinning around in the chair at the front of the room.

Come on, spinny chairs were fun!

"A lot of people say the first step to getting better at something is to practice, but practicing won't do you any good if you're not starting out right," he said, once everyone was settled. "Now, I was lucky enough to find someone who was willing to teach me archery, and there are probably people on this island who could teach some of you some amazing skills. But, we also have this great thing called the internet, and in between the cat macros and social whatever, there are websites and sometimes even videos about how to do just about anything. What I want you to do today is take a look online and see if you can find someone or something that can teach you how to get better at what it is you want to get better at." That sentence had made more sense in his head, really.

Shira's chest cold had stuck around, though it was finally going away, so she was less than her usual reasonably cheerful self as she moved around the library, putting things away and doing the other odds and ends that made up her job in the library

And as a plus, she only had to wrangle three or four books back into place instead of the usual entirely too many.

She shelved the last book on her cart and headed back to the desk.

Fandom Invasions: A Survival Guide- Friday, Period One

"Good morning, class," Jono said, launching into his lecture the moment it was time for class to begin. Class was being held in the Danger Shop today, though the layout really wasn't anything impressive. Unless, of course, people were terribly impressed by the view from the roof of the dorms. "Last week, I gave a very brief overview of some of the invasions that have hit the island. This week, we aren't doing anything terribly hands-on, either, but at least I'm giving you visual aides while I go a little more thoroughly in-depth with some of the messes that residents of the island have had to deal with over the years. I realize that some of these invasions might be a little raw for some of you. If any of you need to leave the simulation for whatever reason, the dorm roof leads out into the hallway. You have full permission to go."

Spring 2013 Club Fair, Gym, Friday Afternoon

Jackson couldn't believe he was here again. At some Maryland boarding school, and some... quaint little freaking club fair, heading a lacrosse group that was really his own personal stress relief than any kind of an actual team.

But he was here again. And his club was listed on the club schedule. Guess this was really happening. Again.

And this time, they even had cheerleaders.

Jackson sighed and went to set up his table.
