Angua was not a stupid werewolf. She knew there was something in the air and had known very well to avoid it. She knew that she could not hold class and she knew that it would be a disaster to leave it in the hands of her TAs this week. Therefor, she'd come back on the island briefly enough to post a note on the door of the classroom, and then went back off into the safety of the mainland wilderness:

"
CLASS IS CANCELED THIS WEEK.
Please sign in.
Then go home and take a cold shower.
And someone be so kind as to pass this on to Blysse and Blind Seer.
     --Sergeant Angua

Yes. That should do it.

[[ yes there's still ocd coming up even with class canceled. ]]

"Pleeease, Alexander?"

Alexander knew there would be no swaying Ariel; yesterday, they'd gotten distracted, and he'd had a chance to forget about how utterly convincing those wide blue eyes were and how uncomfortable they made him when they looked at him like that and he fidgeted a little. "I just don't know, Ariel; it seems a little...er...um..." Cough. "Inappropriate."

"It'll be fun!" Ariel insisted, before wilting in a completely unfair pout. "And, trust me, I really, really, really need some fun right now, you don't even know..."

Curse that look! Alexander should like to think he was a bit impervious to that, but today it just made his knees (and his spine) go weak and he sighed in resignation, "Oh, okay, fine."

Which just inspired Ariel to let out a little squeal of happiness, throw her arms around him, and hug him so tight that he wasn't sure he would be able to breathe if she didn't let go soon, though it wasn't just a lack of oxygen that was turning his face red. "I owe you big time," she said, and they waited a little while for everyone to get in and have some snacks before starting.

"Okay, guys!" Ariel eventually started in, "I don't know about you all, but there's been something on my mind a lot this week and I thought it could be..." Giggle "...interesting to see how it transferred over to Glee Club. So Alexander and I worked together a little something to inspire you for today's assignment. Ready, Alexander?"

Alexander gave a depressed little groan before muttering, "I'm ready."

"Hit it!"

"Let's sing about sex, baby
Let's sing about you and me
Let's sing about all the good things
And the bad things that may be
Let's sing about sex
."

It was short, sweet, and to the point, with a little bit of a dance number and it was clear which one of the two had thought the whole thing up, and which one of the two was about to spend the rest of Glee Club hiding behind his hands.

"So what do you think?" Ariel said hopefully, eager for distraction. "Got anything?"

William still didn't understand the appeal of coffee, but the librarian enjoyed the beverage, so he set the machine brewing anyway.

Today, William was keeping himself busy comparing a couple of French textbooks, one from the States and another from Canada, noting the differences between the books themselves as well as the French he'd grown up speaking- apparently termed joual.

When the students arrived to class today, they'd find a note on the door:

Film class today is
CANCELLED
due to the current island madness.

(Have a good day.
Please do not get each other pregnant.)

God help her, Ziva had tried to find a movie that didn't have any kind of romantic subplot, but she hadn't been successful at all. Stupid film industry.

[I meant to get this up this morning, but the internet was hating. Sigh.]

Summer had the same set up from last week, an image projected onto the front board.

"The SS Republic was a sidewheel steamship built Baltimore, Maryland. It was launched in 1853, under the name Tennessee. She began her service as a merchant vessel plying the Baltimore - Charleston route. Not long afterward, she was sent on the first trans-Atlantic crossing by a Baltimore steamship, sailing to Southampton, England, and Le Havre, France. A short time later Tennessee was used to open the first regular passenger steamship service between New York City and Central America," she explained.

"Tennessee for several years regularly served the Vera Cruz, Mexico - New Orleans route, often transporting immigrants to America as well as large sums of Mexican gold and silver. She was tied up in harbor at New Orleans when the American Civil War began on April 12, 1861," Summer continued.

The wreck. )
