"Today, we're going to be talking a little bit about conspiracy theories," Fraser said, grateful that class gave him the opportunity to be up front and honest anyway. He wouldn't spout anything too bad in class. "Now, I don't know a lot about conspiracy theories but most of them are just from the minds of crackpots with nothing better to do."

Or maybe not. Fraser frowned.

"Conspiracy theories are, basically, a way to explain a current or historical event as the result of a secret plot by a group of conspirators of superhuman power and cunning. Conspiracy theories are rarely supported by any factual evidence and the evidence that there is can be refuted easily or explained away. It's very hard to prove a conspiracy theory but, despite that, these theories grow and become widely believed by groups of people. Does that make them crackpots too? Perhaps just easily influenced? Maybe they wanted to believe it in the first place? It's different for everyone. For today, we're going to see how well you can come up with conspiracy theories of your own. I'm going to hand out a list of historical events and I want you all to write down a conspiracy theory for one of those events. Be sure to try and be as far fetched as you'd like but think about who would believe it and how you could make people believe it without any factual evidence. Think about these before just going with the first thing you can think of. All right? You can start."

There was way too much energy in the air, and after accidentally telling the girl at the Perk exactly how she was feeling this morning, Aly had decided to keep talking to a minimum.

When the class entered the Danger Room, they would see the scale model that had been there last week. And then behind it was the outer wall, the heads of guards visible as they walked their rounds.

"Remember last week?" Aly asked, mostly rhetorically. She gestured first to a stockpile of supplies from armor to bread to bomb-makings then back towards the castle. "Have fun stormin' the castle!"

The portal today would spit the students out somewhere warm and sunny: the Magic Kingdom. "If the radio is to be believed, a day away from campus and the chance to run-off some energy is exactly what you all need," Ghanima announced. "I've got sunscreen and waterbottles for all of you, and if park security catches you causing trouble, I will be most displeased. Do not try to disassemble the animatronic creatures."

With this group, sometimes it needed to be said.

Crowded classrooms and half-day sessions are a tragic waste of our greatest national resource - the minds of our children. -- Walt Disney )

"Now go run around and have some fun. Your homework is to watch a movie sometime this week done by Disney, to understand the impact one man's dream has had on the culture of a nation."

Dan was spending his library shift on his laptop. No, not looking at porn. Checking Gossip Girl.

Which, since there were tons of pictures of Serena on there, was almost like porn to him.

The Danger Shop was set up like an open field, the kind you might find in several states in the mid-west or further south. It was fairly warm by Danger Shop normal temperature standards and the sky was grey. A storm seemed to be lingering somewhere, but wasn't here yet.

On the ground in front of the Doctor were what looked like large lunchboxes. They were not lunchboxes. They were too big for normal lunchboxes and had delicate electronic equipment inside. Since the lids were open, everyone could see that.

"What I'm about to tell you to do," the Doctor said by way of introduction, "should never be done in the real world without proper means of getting away very, very fast. Does that count as good enough of a warning? Yes? Good." He didn't listen to any actual answers to that question. "In three minutes, a rather large tornado is going to form over there." He pointed in the direction of a big red barn on the far side of the open field. "A tornado is-" He started, then stopped. "You'll find out soon enough. They are incredibly dangerous, can be very destructive, involve very high winds and one will probably kill you if you get in the way. Not in here though. All pretend in here. Your job is to get one of these packages as close to the tornado as possible in order to use the equipment inside to scan it to better understand it. Do this without getting sucked up into it or hit by debris. In the real world, you'd be dead. Here, you'll probably only have the wind knocked out of you. Probably. The other job is to experience what this planet's extreme weather can be like." He checked his watch again. "A minute and a half. You can team up if you'd like. Better think about a good place to start."

Today Anakin's desk was covered with droid babies in bassinets. Each baby had a tiny stuffed Ewok tucked next to it. Don't laugh--the babies were programmed to scream if you lost it.

"Today we talk about lust," Anakin said, with a slight smirk. "You might have noticed a slight increase in those sort of feelings this week. Meet the unintended consequences that can happen when you take action without precautions."

He smiled. Evilly. "These are your little projects for the next week. They're heavy, they cry, and they will record everything you do with them. So if you stuff them into a closet for the duration, believe me, I'll know."

After all, he'd built all of them.

He reached for a list of paper. "I've paired you up together." His smile turned a little more evil. "And some of your babies are a little fussier than others. Please listen for your names."

His was an evil laugh. )
