Fraser was back in the classroom after a week off and feeling pretty happy about that. It helped that he was still his normal self and wasn't going to have to try and teach as a female.

"Welcome back. I hope you all had a wonderful week off and I hope you also dealt with the latest round of island oddities as best you could," he began, smiling at the assembled class. "Today, we're going to take that experienced island oddness and talk about it. So, for those of you that changed and those that didn't, let's discuss biases and myths associated with the opposite sex."

Fraser's dearest wife might have had a hand in suggesting this lesson. "When you're suddenly the opposite sex, what things do you find people expect you to do? For instance, my wife decided shew as going to play with power tools because her hands were suddenly bigger. She also suggested I drink a cosmopolitan because it went with my new feminine side."

And then he'd won that little argument, of course.

"There are different things that are associated with each other gender. Some people believe males to be stronger while females are smarter. Some people believe males to be better drivers while women are more responsible. These are inherent and present in all societies I've encountered. The biases may be be different from place to place but they still exist in some way or another. So, what did you discover about the opposite sex while you were changed? Did you find that something you originally thought wasn't true? Did people treat you differently because you were the opposite gender? And if you didn't change, did you find people acted at all differently than their usual selves? Did the change in gender affect them at all besides the physical appearance? Let's discuss and please, feel free to talk with each other as well."

Dan had kinda missed the library while he was on vacation, the dork. When he showed up to his shift he sat behind the front desk and organized stuff. What fun! Really.

The students had handwavily been sent a notice that today's trip required a dress code, and when they met today, the portal took them to Citronelle in DC.

"Since last week was fall break, and this weekend is Homecoming, I doubt I can hold your attention for too long," Ghanima teased as they entered the restaurant. "So today we focus on something which will be important in your adult lives, if not very important this weekend; proper etiquette for fine dining."

All four elements were happening in equal measure - the cuisine, the wine, the service, and the overall ambiance. It taught me that dining could happen at a spiritual level.  )

"Now, we have the space to ourselves to practice today, as this establishment was kind enough to open for us." The perks of being a Princess Royal of one of the Great Houses; Ghanima had enough personal income to throw around for things like this, without even blinking. "Order what pleases you, and if you have any questions about the proper way to do something, please do not hesitate to ask."

The Doctor was not at the Danger Shop door when it opened. The noise from the concert stage in the distance and the crowd of hundreds of thousands across six acres filtered out into the hallway. Nearby was a giant mud pit with people careening into it, playing and rolling around and having fun while the music played.

When class was scheduled to start and the doors closed, that was when the Doctor appeared. He wasn't in his usual attire, so it was understandable if some of the students didn't notice him at first. He was hard to miss when he came up to them wearing only shorts and covered from head to toe in mud. "There you all are!" he said, arms spread wide to welcome them. He was obviously pleased to see everyone. "There are two things on this planet that are in abundance and rightly so: music and mud. Marvellous things, and humans are obsessed with both. That's a generalisation. But everyone should love music and mud! This is Woodstock, a concert and festival held in New York in 1969. Were it the real Woodstock, I would be around here somewhere several times over. Time travel is dangerous and you should never show up the same place twice or more in your own personal timeline, unless it's for a really good concert.

But I'm getting off track. I do that. On track. Music and mud, two things that you'll have a better understanding of through experience rather than listening to me. Books on both are in the library if you're interested in their scientific value, but today we're focusing on the cultural experience. I'll be in the mud pit if you need me!"

And with that, the Doctor was off to leap into the mud pit again.

For the last few semesters, Anakin had called on his experiences in the latter part of the Clone Wars for the midterm subject matter. With Leia on the island, that wasn't exactly a safe area for him to explore right now.

"Today we talk about wrath," he began, pacing through the cramped, dirty quarters of the ship the students found themselves aboard. "Last week, my wife used up the last of my hair gel, so I leveled the apartment and we had to move," he said, then gave them all a little smile. "Not really." He'd just sulked for an hour. Anakin wasn't exactly the most mature person, well, ever.

"When I was thirteen years old," he said, "and had built my first lightsaber, my master and I were sent on an assignment to protect a diplomatic vessel from attack from a T'surr slaver named Krayn." We waved his hand and the giant blue alien appeared in the center of the room. "Our mission was simple: to disable Krayn's ship and return to our own."

He held up a finger: "However. Krayn was a slaver, and had been for almost a decade. He had ruined countless lives, had raided slaves from a multitude of systems--" including Tatooine, but Anakin wouldn't be mentioning that, "--and his slaves were used to process spice: itself an illegal, dangerous narcotic in our galaxy, which had made him very, very rich, not to mention extremely powerful. Your choice in the assignment today is simple: follow your master and disable the weapons systems of this ship and escape, or break off on your own and try to track down Krayn and free the slaves on this vessel."

With a gesture from Anakin, lightsaber hilts appeared in the air above each student. "Remember what you have learned about the dangers of anger and pride. Choose wisely. May the Force be with you. You may pair up with a fellow student if you'd like."
