When the class entered the gym today, instead of a pugnacious redhead, they'd find a dorky brunette waiting for them in front of a folding table. Who wasn't wearing a super-suit, though she did have a bright pink Supers t-shirt on in place of the standard Fandom High gymshirt. That sort of counted? Maybe? Oh God I'm in charge why am I in charge why am I in charge of GYM class?

"Mister Gardner called to let me know he had emergency business out of town," Francine told them, "but he left me detailed intructions for today's class." Really detailed. Two words.

Two words and a sympathetic wince. "They were, um. Run laps."

She probably wasn't in time to stave off the groaning, but she held up her hand anyway. "I know, I know! But, um, Mister Gardner would never want his class to be boring, right? He totally meant for us to be creative about it!"

She turned around towards the table behind her, then back, to reveal a huge rack... of blue and yellow frosted mini-cupcakes!

"One lap, one cupcake! They're even nutritional - they've got milk in them and everything."

As, you know, baked goods tend to.

The classroom was set up as a multimedia workspace. Plenty of computers, but also art supplies and large display screens.

"Today we're going to talk marketing. How do you sell your organization? This is similar to recruiting, but your audience now is the general public. What is your image? Are you innovative and cutting edge? Are you a feel-good public resource? Does everyone know you're trying to take over the world, but you're just so convenient they don't care?

"Commercials, logos, public appearance, community endeavors - it doesn't matter how good or evil your organization is. What matter is how how the public perceives you. So, tell us, student leaders - why should we love and-slash-or tolerate you? Don't forget to incorporate new media - everyone loves a good tweet!"

As the students came into the classroom today, they would find Farnsworth putting the finishing touches on that weird dog picture from last week. On on the top, of course, he had written: "TODAY'S LESSON: WD Witten's Dog"

So, would we know if the Witten's Dog ate Schrödinger's cat if we didn't open up the dog? )

He turned to the class with an expression on the hopeful side of maniacle. "Let's discuss!"

[[ ocd is on the way up. In this reality, anyway! ]]

"Welcome back, students!" Artie was in fine form today, bounding around the gathered students in a circle, knees way up, a marching band hat on his head, a large piece of piece of pipe clenched in his hands. There was a pile of instruments -- kazoos, slide whistles, toy accordions, ukuleles, and more -- on a table at the edge of the clearing. "Today we will play. . . ." He froze, eyes wide, balanced precariously on the toes of one foot. "Freeze dance!"

He then proceeded to not explain just what this whole 'freeze dance' thing was. Instead he waved the students to the instruments on the table and flipped the on switch of his Krebstar 2000 personal radio, which immediately started blasting beachy funk music. And he proceeded to dance.

The students could make of that what they would.

Summer had moddable snacks and drinks set up on the table in the front of the room, in case anyone was hungry.

She'd helped herself to a cup of coffee and was checking her e-mails, should anyone need her.

[OCD up. Sorry for missing last week!]

Rinoa had heard plenty about this Dusk series, but she had to admit she wasn't all that impressed. The girl at the center just seemed whiny. And the guy's protectiveness was kind of cute, but watching her sleep? Right on the 'creepy' line.

So much for Dusk. At least working in a library meant there were a lot of options for a replacement.

Anyone who went to the Danger Shop would have found a note on the door saying 'The playground is a nice place today. -The Doctor.'

Sure enough, if they were to run their way into town to the playground in the park, they would find the Doctor swinging back and forth on the swings, legs stretched out in front of him. He waited a proper amount of time to give everyone a chance to arrive before he started to talk. There were free swings if anyone wanted to join in.

"I had this wonderful idea about using the Danger Shop and some fast talking into trick you into being confused about whether or not Fandom was real and whether you were all actually students at a dull and boring boarding school in New Hampshire. That would be morally questionable considering you're technically children in this state and year and I wouldn't be able to reverse what I was going to do with the Danger Shop...and it's a bit mean. Instead we're going to talk about it."

Piper's goal was simple. She wanted to assign something fairly easy in the hopes that class would end a little early. The reason? She was heading home for a few days as soon as class was over. Not that there was a rush or anything since she did know multiple people who could teleport.

"Hey, I'm assigning something fun this week. I want you to pair up and make something that involves chocolate," she told the class before giving a short lecture about baked goods. "So, it can be anything you want. Chocolate tends to make anything better."

Though as soon as she finished saying that, she regretted it. Maybe she should have shown a movie instead.
