To apply, read the following information, click the link to the application form, fill it out for the character you want to play, and send it off!

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE

As usual, we're going to have a period marked for early applications. If a player's application falls into one of the following categories:

a) Student applications where the player does not have a current student
b) Teacher applications where the player has not previously played a teacher
c) Applications from new players to the game

and the application is submitted by April 7th, we will consider it and, if there are any issues with it, will go back to the player by April 11th to give them a chance to make changes. Players in this situation will then have five days to make any changes and re-submit their application.

Application Form
You only need to fill out the parts that are relevant to the type of character you are applying for (ie: if you're a student applicant, don't fill in the stuff marked 'Townies Only').

If you don't get a confirmation email from us within 24 hours, please email us.

Here at Fandom High we have a soft character cap of 10 characters per fandom. (Characters who have graduated or otherwise moved away from the island are not counted towards this.) There are currently no fandoms at full capacity, so feel free to apply for characters from whatever fandom you choose. You can check on your prospective fandom's character count by checking out the character roster on fandomhigh.net (linked above).

Applications close Sunday, April 25, 2010. The next application session for students and teachers after this will be in June.

Got a question? We're here to answer it!

Library [03/28]

Jono's trip to the library today had been, fortunately, rather uneventful. He'd found himself growing a little more thankful over the course of the week for his inability to breathe... It kept things far simpler.

The fact that he could cook alive any curious monsters that wandered too close for comfort helped, too.

After he straightened his bandages over his face, he set to work, reading the notes on the whiteboard and rifling through the shelves, pulling out stacks of whatever books looked as though they might be relevant for people to poke at and then flicking on the computers so that they'd be booted up (or whatever it was) for the researchers today.

When Henry got the message from the vice principal asking him to stick around after Jono closed up and unlock special collections, he didn't ask too many questions.

Mostly because he was a little afraid what the answers might be. Guys who wore hooded pajamas all the goddamn time had that effect on him.

He propped the doors to special collections slightly open and took a seat in a study area not too far away, dark eyes anxiously watching the action.

It conveniently suited the purposes of the moment was a good thing that Gabrielle had actually learned how to retrieve her voicemail messages by now, as she'd gotten a handwavey message from Henry warning her to steer clear of Special Collections today. Still convinced that she'd managed to have a few minutes of cordial dialogue with one of the lizards on Saturday, and laboring under the cheerful delusion of accomplishment at same, she wasn't too inclined to question the directive. She was going to take it seriously, though, and in between scribbled paragraphs of the new scroll she was working on (the one that started I sing of Gabrielle, Bard of Poteidaia and sower of the seed of a treaty of peace between man and strange creature) she kept glancing toward that section of the library.

Yes, yes, some of the others had ended up fighting a much larger lizard than the one she was sure she'd had a nice chat with in the park (as opposed to the one that had tried to eat her). Sometimes that sort of thing was inevitable, but she liked to think that what she'd done was a peaceable step in the right direction.

So she took those occasional glances toward Special Collections, then went back to writing. Xena might have invented CPR and the Caesarean section among other things, but there was a very good case to be made that Gabrielle invented Mary Sue fanfiction.

. . . just don't tell Gabrielle that.

Ghanima had flung open all the classroom windows today, letting in as much fresh air as possible. The desks were gone, replaced with the large fluffy pillows that the students most likely knew to associate with a movie day. Today, however, they'd only be half-right.

"Hello, students," she said once everyone had arrived. "I handwavily was away last week, just getting in this morning, and I understand you had an unfortunate encounter."

"So today, we'll be watching a movie, and then you'll grab some weapons and go outside to reenact it as you like. And yes, you may keep your swords."

[OOC: Going up early in case work eats me. Wait for the fluffy OCD is on the loose!]
