There had been more uncomfortable places to wake up than on a couch in an empty warehouse, and she'd actually liked the outfit, Gabrielle had to admit. It all seemed like a very interesting and helpful profession even if the whole past-lives thing sounded strange, and something about the entire situation felt slightly off in a way she couldn't pinpoint.

Which was why, in between her other duties, Gabrielle's choice of reading material was on the subject of reincarnation. Not that this would save her from future-life-visiting trauma two seasons from now. As the enraptured look on her face might indicate, the subject had definitely caught her fancy.

Once again, class was set up in the Danger Shop.

Unlike usual, today's setting was...

"I'm not going to show you any films this week," Mitchell announced, a little wary, but still full of that pumped-up, somewhat faked enthusiasm he'd started on last Thursday. "Sorry for missing out on class last week. I had to help a friend move flats." He clapped his hands once. "There's food, if anyone wants it, and coffee - just take whatever you'd like. I got that," point at the cake, "From JGoB's. There's plenty more where it came from."

Ghanima appeared rather cheerful this morning, one might almost say the Princess Royal was giddy.

Almost.  This was, however, Ghanima, and she effortlessly slipped into her role as teacher once the class was assembled.

"Welcome back, I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend," she teased, blue-on-blue eyes flaring with amusement.  "I was caring for my brother for most of the weekend, so I did not get out much to see the events."  Letting a weetiny Muad'dib-Leto run around outside might have been a disaster.  "There is juice and treats from JGoB over on the back table, for those of you that need breakfast."

"On your desks, you should now have four handouts regarding The Dreamtime, Songlines, and the Rainbow Serpent.  Please read them over, and then we will discuss as a class."

Your intrepid club leaders didn't look particularly cheerful today, after the weekend. And Tahiri, in particular, looked like she was ready to climb into an actual cockpit and not just a simulation -- crisp flight suit, boots (ugh), very compact travel bag.

"Hey, guys," she said, hands tucked behind her back. "After this weekend we could probably use a pretty easy day, huh?"

Ben kept sneaking glances at her outfit, looking unhappy. "Or possibly a chance to shoot things in a safe environment," he added. Which he really wanted to do. "So our land-based option today is speeder bikes," he said, then went through the basic controls of one.

"You'll like those," Tahiri added, going for cheerful and missing by a few centimeters. "If you think you're up for it, today's spaceflight option is one that isn't actually from our galaxy, even though the ship looks kind of similar to some of our snubfighters . . . it's a Viper Mark II." It was her turn to go over the controls there, which took a while; the Mark II wasn't known for having a technologically advanced instrument panel. "The tricky thing about these is they don't carry lasers. Those guns carry actual ammo. Well -- simulated actual ammo, anyway, so it'll have a different kind of kick. Just keep that in mind while you're shooting things, okay?"

Ben nodded. "Have fun, guys."

Summer set out lots of snacks and caffeinated beverages for anyone who stopped by. Given what happened over the weekend, she was fairly certain they'd need it.

Summer sat at a desk near the front of the room and pulled out a book from her bag. If anyone needed anything, she'd be happy to help. For now, though, she was giving her full attention to her book.

"I trust everyone's weekends were...busy," Anakin said as he walked into the room and shut the door behind him. "Today we are going to take a break from the seven deadly sins and focus on some of the seven virtues, in particular diligence, temperance, and forgiveness."

He began pacing the room. "On Saturday and Sunday, the island again showed its sense of humor by turning some of us into another people, prompting us to leave chaos and hurt feelings--and perhaps worse--in our wake. For those who transformed, is seeking forgiveness necessary from any we might have wronged? For those who were hurt by the interlopers, is a certain degree of temperance called for?"

He smiled. "And is diligence going to do any of us a bit of good?"
